I am sick and tired of the rhetoric that franchise ownership is passive 😤 Too many people in this space claim to be a part of brands that will allow you to plug and play… then walk away. 🤦🏽♂️ Very few of these people if any have actually owned a business. 💯‼️ Franchise ownership can be passive well AFTER you built it. Sure… you can hire a manager. However - Even if you do, managing a manager IS NOT PASSIVE! Unless you are going in with someone who you already know, like, and trust, it may take months, if not years to find a manager that meets your culture and is able to do what is needed to build the business in your absence. Trial through error is a thing. I went through MANY MANY MANY people before I found my current GM for my second franchise… which I was also told would be passive… If you are among the few who are able to hire a rock star — You need to be ready to pay them significant 💰💰💰 in order to keep them around! That just means it may take longer to see that return! Amazing things are possible through franchise ownership. Set realistic expectations for yourself Do your research before you trust anyone telling you this road is PASSIVE.
