This past weekend, the ISBLI Class of 2025 explored one of the most essential skills in effective leadership: Conflict Mending. We had the privilege of learning from Kimberly Howard-Carswell, a renowned leader in international peace initiatives who has been featured on CNN for her extraordinary work transforming over 30,000 militants. Kim shared her copyrighted strategies for not just resolving conflicts, but turning them into opportunities for growth and transformation. We were also honored to have Fernando Nasmyth join us as Guest Speaker. Fernando shared his inspiring journey to becoming a leader in conflict resolution and provided the class with invaluable insights and resources. The group project has been providing an incredible opportunity for the class to put their learning into action. They are progressing at full speed and are currently preparing to present their proposal to the project sponsor's board. 🎯 Conflict is inevitable, but with the right mindset and tools, it can be transformed into a powerful catalyst for greater leadership and growth. Lively and thought-provoking discussions infused ISBLI’s fifth live session, Leading Inclusively, with globally renowned inclusion expert Rita Wuebbeler, PCC, M.A. returning as facilitator. In this deep dive, the class explored the true impacts of diversity and inclusion on effective leadership. Class members were guided through the Diversity Awareness Spectrum to explore their roles in advancing inclusivity, and Harvard-based assessments unlocked new awareness of subconscious biases, encouraging the class to confront hidden perspectives that may influence decision-making. Ehab Jaleel, co-founder and Executive Director of Amana Academy Charter School, joined us as guest speaker and brought powerful, real-world insights. As an inclusive leader serving a richly diverse community, Ehab highlighted the transformative impact of embracing inclusivity on both his organization’s success and his own leadership journey. #Leadership #InclusiveLeadership #DiversityAndInclusion #ProfessionalGrowth

In this powerful session, Amir didn’t just teach leadership—he unlocked it, guiding participants to discover their hidden potential and providing actionable tools to drive change with his one-of-a-kind approach. In the last segment of the class, we were honored to welcome Chef Simone Byron, President & CEO of Navigate Foundation, and SharRon Jamison, MBA, President of The Jamison Group, LLC, who shared their stories of breaking barriers, achieving remarkable success, and leading with grace and balance. Thank you to Amir and our incredible guest speakers for an unforgettable session that challenged us to lead boldly, live authentically, and shatter our internal and external glass ceilings! #TransformationalLeadership #LeadershipDevelopment #Trailblazers
