We are proud to share a groundbreaking moment at Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital Flower Mound! We successfully performed our first-ever Inari FlowTriever procedure, a cutting-edge, minimally invasive treatment for pulmonary embolism (PE). This advanced technique removes large blood clots, offering new hope to patients in our community. This milestone was made even more meaningful by the inspiring journey of Mr. Robert Kenyon, who graciously shared his story with us. While playing in a golf tournament with his son in Grapevine, Mr. Kenyon collapsed on the course. Initially reluctant to seek care, he pressed on, but after feeling lightheaded again, his son insisted they head to the hospital. Despite being near Baylor Grapevine, Mr. Kenyon chose to come to Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital Flower Mound, where he had previously experienced outstanding care. In what he calls a “God moment,” he arrived at our Emergency Department to find our incredible team—including Dr. Joseph Chan, an IR nurse, and the Inari rep—all perfectly positioned to perform the procedure. Though it was a first for our hospital, Mr. Kenyon felt it was “meant to be.” The procedure successfully removed a life-threatening blood clot, and today, he stands as a shining example of the life-saving care we provide. Mr. Kenyon and his wife of 55 years shared their heartfelt gratitude: “Everyone here has a caring approach, personalized care, and the best staff.” This photo was taken exactly two weeks after his procedure - and Mr. Kenyon is already back on the golf course! We are truly honored to be part of Mr. Kenyon’s recovery and look forward to continuing to bring innovative care to our community. #LifeSavingCare #PulmonaryEmbolism #TexasHealthFlowerMound
