🏆 Announcing the 2024 Tenacious Campaigner Award Winners! 🏆 We’re excited to reveal the ten inspiring campaigners who have been selected as the winners of the 2024 Tenacious Campaigner Award! These individuals have shown extraordinary skill and determination fighting injustice and driving meaningful change. Find out more about 2024's Tenacious Campaigners 👉  www.tenaciousawards.org Launched in 2023 by Changing Ideas, the Tenacious Campaigner Award celebrates the art of campaigning and the invaluable contribution which campaigners make to society. Each campaigner will receive £20,000 of funding and 12 months of support from Breakthrough to help them achieve their goals, explore innovative approaches, and build the networks needed to drive social change. Congratulations to: Anna Severwright - for putting people with lived experience at the centre of social care with Social Care Future, Georgia Elliott-Smith - for challenging loopholes enabling harmful pollution in our shared natural environment with Fighting Dirty, Harry Scoffin - for abolishing residential leasehold tenure in England and Wales with Free Leaseholders, Janey Starling - for Level Up's groundbreaking campaign to end the imprisonment of pregnant women, Kath Sansom- for advocating for patients harmed by surgical mesh and lobbying for to improve patient safety with Sling the Mesh, Not1More UK - for fighting to end the use of Protest Injunctions being used to intimidate and silence campaigners (not pictured), Matt Staniek - for protecting Lake Windermere from ecological degradation, by ensuring the lake is protected from sewage pollution with Save Windermere, Munya Radzi - for efforts to secure basic rights and a safer, equitable path to settlement and citizenship for the UK’s undocumented population with Regularise (not pictured), Smartphone Free Childhood - for building a community of over over 120,000 parents who are fighting back against Big Tech’s exploitation of childhood, (Daisy Greenwell, Clare (Fernyhough) Reynolds, Joe Ryrie) Will Prochaska - for tackling the harm caused by gambling through stricter regulations on the most harmful gambling products and practices of the industry.
