📌 Future of Growth: Road to TECH at Handelsblatt Industriegipfel, Berlin As part of our Road to TECH and Industriegipfel, we had the opportunity to engage in a discussion with our TECH partners – Boston Consulting Group (BCG), Horváth and Dassault Systèmes – along with a group of corporate representatives, addressing key questions about the future: 🔹 Where will future growth come from? 🔹 How can companies successfully transform? 🔹 How can Europe remain innovative? 🔹 How can we strengthen Europe as a business location? 🔹 What role does the state play in this process? The discussion was characterized by fascinating insights, strategic approaches, and a shared conviction: innovation, collaboration and sustainable transformation are the keys to securing Europe’s long-term competitiveness. 𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐑𝐨𝐚𝐝 𝐭𝐨 𝐓𝐄𝐂𝐇 𝐡𝐚𝐬 𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐫𝐭𝐞𝐝! In November, we kicked off the Road to TECH together with our partners — a delegation of digital and tech leaders. The goal? Shaping the future of Europe through meaningful connections and groundbreaking ideas. Our journey began with two exciting milestones: 𝐖𝐞𝐛 𝐒𝐮𝐦𝐦𝐢𝐭 𝐢𝐧 𝐋𝐢𝐬𝐛𝐨𝐧: We joined over 70,000 experts from industry, business, and politics at one of the world's largest tech events. Alongside engaging conference sessions and a TECH workshop, we participated in the German Start-up Night. 𝐀𝐈 𝐒𝐮𝐦𝐦𝐢𝐭 𝐢𝐧 𝐌𝐮𝐧𝐢𝐜𝐡: Here, we explored visionary AI technologies and tackled practical challenges for implementing AI in the corporate world. We strongly believe that collaboration is key. Das Handelsblatt startet etwas Neues… ... die zahlreichen technologischen Disruptionen, die Geschäftsmodelle, Unternehmen und unser aller Leben verändern, beschäftigen uns seit jeher. Mein Anspruch als Chefredakteur ist es, dass wir bei diesen Entwicklungen nicht nur Beobachter sind, sondern dass wir als Handelsblatt auch einen Ort bieten, an dem die Zukunft von #Technologie und Innovationen von den maßgeblichen Akteuren verhandelt wird. Gerade in schwierigen Zeiten braucht es Orte, an denen die verbliebenen Optimisten zusammenkommen, um genau das zu tun. Deshalb bauen wir eine neue Plattform für Technologiebegeisterte auf. Der Kern dieser Initiative ist eine #Technologiekonferenz, die wir nächstes Jahr erstmals in einem von Europas interessantesten Technologiezentren ausrichten werden: mitten in Heilbronn, wo gerade Europas größtes KI-Cluster entsteht. Und dabei soll es nicht wolkig um Visionen gehen - sondern konkret darum, was europäische Unternehmen und Innovatoren tun müssen, damit dieser Kontinent nicht vollends den Anschluss gegenüber den USA und China verliert. ➡In einer aufwendig gestalteten mobilen City, ähnlich wie beim #Weltwirtschaftsforum in Davos, wollen wir vom 25. bis 27. Mai zur ersten TECH by Handelsblatt zusammenkommen: zur Technology Experience Convention Heilbronn. ➡Wir erwarten rund 1000 internationale Gäste und Redner, darunter führende Akteure von Technologiekonzernen, Wissenschaftlerinnen und vor allem Entscheider aus Industrie, Wirtschaft und Politik – ein sorgfältig kuratierter Kreis aus Menschen also, die die Zukunft des Technologiestandorts Europa prägen. ➡Die wichtigsten Fragen sind dabei: Welche Rolle will Europa in #KI, #Deeptech, #Robotics, #Quantencomputing, #Raumfahrt und #Biotech spielen? Wie weit sind die Unternehmen wirklich? Welche technologischen Fähigkeiten braucht der Kontinent, um seine Sicherheit in einer zunehmend unsicheren Welt zu organisieren? Wo ist Europa stärker als andere? Welche Fähigkeiten fehlen? Die #TECH soll aber nicht nur eine jährlich stattfindende Konferenz, sondern eine Plattform sein, auf der Neues entsteht und konkrete Erfahrungen und Inhalte ausgetauscht werden. Denn bei all den wundervollen Dingen, die uns KI bringt, ist klar, dass Technologie niemals das ersetzen kann, was entsteht, wenn Menschen zusammenkommen, sich über unterschiedliche Perspektiven austauschen – und über die Zukunft nachdenken. Wir sind überzeugt, dass Ideen durch den Austausch und ergänzende Perspektiven größer werden. Dazu können wir nur einen kleinen Beitrag leisten. Es braucht viele solcher Orte, damit sich ein ganzer Kontinent verändert. Und ich bin froh, dass wir an diesem großen Projekt alle gemeinsam arbeiten. Andrea Wasmuth, die das Projekt mit so viel Energie und Kreativität vorantreibt, unsere wunderbare neue Kollegin Alexandra Schiel (die viele noch aus alten DLD-Zeiten kennen dürften) und der geschätzte Jan Kleibrink, der wie kein anderer viele Bälle gleichzeitig in der Luft halten kann.
