Democratic operatives failed to recognize and invest in the unique value of Black and diverse-owned media in reaching diverse voters. According to an insider, one of the major political agencies involved in the campaign reportedly argued that they could best reach Black voters through mainstream outlets like CNN and ESPN, dismissing the need for investment in Black-owned media.  Black America is not monolithic Hispanic America is not monolithic Asian America is not monolithic We are a tapestry of varied experiences, perspectives, and values. President Irfaan Ali has modified the government's previous cash grant proposal, announcing a direct payment of $100,000 to each Guyanese adult who is 18 years or older by January 1, 2024. The revised strategy replaces the earlier household-based approach, focusing on individual eligibility and streamlined distribution. In a comprehensive broadcast across radio, television, and internet platforms, Ali detailed the new grant mechanism. The payment will require verification through national identification or a valid Guyanese passport, ensuring a transparent and equitable process. Vice President Dr. Bharrat Jagdeo revealed that a specialized software application is currently under development to manage the grant's distribution.
