Open Arms of Minnesota is a nonprofit that cooks and delivers free, nutritious meals to people living with life-threatening illnesses in the Twin Cities. Instead of candy canes and cozy Hallmark endings, Dorit’s avoids direct sunlight and surrounds you with cold beers, killer pizza, jello shots, and a cast of unsavory characters. (You’ll be fine, just don’t spill water on them.) This mid-‘80s dive bar tribute is now taking reservations. P.S. This month marks a significant turning point for Surly.
