📣 ✨ Project Update 📣 ✨ As part of a joint project to create a Computer Lab at an underserved village school in Armavir Province, Armenia, Strobia Foundation n is currently renovating a classroom and ServiceTitan Armenia is donating 20 laptops. In 1968 a World War II navy pilot turned high school math and science teacher, Bill Dougall, petitioned the Lakeside School Mother's Club to use the proceeds from its annual rummage sale-about $3,000 to lease a Teletype Model 30 computer...." Bill Gates was a 13 year old student at this school where he also met classmates Paul Allen. Bill Gates has said, "If there had been no Lakeside, there would have been no Microsoft." Summary of a story from and excellent book, "The Psychology of Money" by Morgan Housel. It's common for many to reference specific moments in their journey of "becoming" when it #SPARKED what we call the "#STROBIA" that made a big difference, one of our supporters has said, "I started to innovate and create when I got my hands on a computer. THANK YOU for attending Strobia Foundation’s “Technology, AI, and Armenia’s Global Brand” event with Rev Lebaredian, VP at NVIDIA, and Vahe Kuzoyan, Co-Founder of ServiceTitan. It was amazing! Hero House by SmartGateVC in Glendale was filled with sparks as hundreds gathered to learn, connect, network, and be inspired. The Keynote by Rev covering the past, present, and future of AI was extraordinary - “it felt like a MasterClass” was the sentiment we all shared. His insights on the potential of AI to revolutionize how we work and do basic tasks were particularly thought-provoking. The fireside chat between Vahe and Rev was illuminating. We are so grateful for the stories, wisdom, and insights shared, especially Vahe’s inspiring story of how one phone call made all the difference.
