This is what solid customer journey mapping + a solid CTA strategy can get you. We have a few clients who have a ton of blog content that is bringing in loads of organic traffic for them. But when you want ROI from your content, you need to eventually get those users out of the blog and into your money pages. We do this by weaving MOFU content into the blog: - Flowcharts & Checklists - How-to Articles - Problem-Specific Articles - Product Screenshots and Examples - Benchmark Reports & Surveys - Templates - Interactive Tools (Calculators, Demos) - Solution-Led FAQs - Success Stories - Testimonials - Buying Guides - Feature or Product Comparisons - Educational & Support Videos - E-books - Industry Research Reports - Glossaries And most importantly: ✨ Contextually relevant CTAs ✨ Too many SaaS companies only include ONE CTA at the very bottom of their blog posts. That's not enough. After just three months of CRO work - including contextually relevant CTAs throughout this client's new content - they drove 60% more organic sessions from their blog/resources pages to their "money pages": 💰 Pricing page 💰 Capabilities pages 💰 Customer Stories pages 💰 Integrations pages 💰 Industry pages --------------------------------- 👋 Follow me, Alexis Trammell, for more B2B marketing and CRO content like this! 🔔 Follow Stratabeat to watch me get pied in the face. ♻ Repost to spread the word.

Want strong results in 2025? Then, it’s time to lock in your marketing plan. Companies that develop a clear marketing plan consistently outperform those without one. But you gotta do it right, or you risk wasting your time and frustrating your team. Here are some keys to creating an effective marketing plan: ✅ 1. QUARTERLY PLANS Instead of building one, 12-month plan, what’s far more effective is to create quarterly marketing plans that act as clear, focused, and detailed roadmaps. Quarterly plans bring more urgency to your team, plus they are more actionable. ✅ 2. GOAL SETTING THE RIGHT WAY To have a highly effective marketing plan, you’ll need to set goals. However, many marketing teams get goal-setting wrong. What I mean is that they simply focus on lag goals (or, "end goals"). For example, increase US-based SQLs by 20%. Go beyond lag goals. Make sure you establish lead goals, as well. What are the specific actions you need to take each month in order to achieve your lag goals? Be specific, and track these monthly actions as their own distinct milestones. ✅ 3. IF YOU HAD AN EXTRA $1 MILLION, WHAT WOULD YOU DO WITH IT? Love brainstorming this with marketing teams. It helps bring clarity to bigger, more ambitious opportunities. Instead of the same old, same old, this question helps unlock new, creative ideas and possibilities. ✅ 4. HOW ARE YOU GOING TO WIN? The biggest question your marketing team needs to answer is, “How are we going to win in 2025?” I mean, really, strategically, how? Make sure you answer this clearly, thoughtfully, and truthfully. No fluff. Is your differentiation clear? Do you deliver overwhelming value? What marketing will you do to capture qualified leads? How are you going to compound results over time? ✅ 5. DOUBLE DOWN ON WHAT’S WORKING What's the one marketing activity that delivers the greatest impact for your business? Here's a ridiculously easy way for you to improve your marketing results in 2025. Double down on it. Instead of trying to do 15 different things well, double down on those initiatives that are working most effectively.

🚨 Are you still chasing the wrong content metrics? Many marketers I talk to are still obsessed with vanity metrics. Impressions, Views - You know the drill. But here's the thing — those numbers don't matter. They never have. They don't drive real business results. What does matter? Conversions. Leads. Conversations. 💰 Take HubSpot for example. They don’t just push content for content’s sake. Their blog isn't just about getting eyes on the page. It's about guiding the reader from a simple idea to a purchase decision. Here’s how they do it: ✨ Targeted Content: They focus on their customer’s specific pain points, not broad topics that sound “cool.” ✨ Personalization: HubSpot uses smart CTAs that change based on the user’s stage in the journey. So, someone in the awareness stage sees a free eBook, while a lead might get a demo request. ✨ Optimization: They don’t just “create content” and forget it. They test, measure, and iterate based on performance. That’s why their content strategy keeps growing. Your takeaway: Stop worrying about how many people "liked" your post. Start focusing on how many people you can move down the funnel. Create content that answers questions, solves problems, and drives actions. That’s the kind of content that builds real authority and attracts qualified leads. Question for you: What’s the one piece of content you’ve created that’s actually moved the needle for your business recently? Drop your thoughts below! 👇 (And we may feature you and your company in one of our upcoming blogs about content strategy!) --------------------------------- 👋 Follow me, Alexis Trammell, for more B2B marketing content like this! 🔔 Follow Stratabeat to watch me get pied in the face. ♻ Repost to spread the word. #contentmarketing #b2bcontentmarketing #leadgeneration #leadgen #contentstrategy #b2bmarketing

How does audience segmentation correlate with B2B SaaS SEO results? This is a topic that is rarely covered. But we were curious. In Stratabeat’s latest B2B SaaS SEO benchmark report (3rd edition), we looked at 300 B2B SaaS websites and more than 15,000 data points. One thing that really stood out was the impact of industry segmentation on SEO results. Those websites that segmented the audience by industry increased organic traffic YoY by 28.7%, which was 7X higher than those websites without industry segmentation. Among the websites that segmented the audience, 95.9% increased the number of referring domains (websites linking to them). And the average YoY growth rate for that group was 44.3% (36.4% among all websites that segmented the audience). Targeting the long-tail of industry topics is a comparatively easier approach to increasing the number of ranking keywords for a website, as there’s less competition. And here’s the big bonus. The traffic volume per keyword may not be as high, but it’s more qualified traffic that’s more likely to convert. From that lens, it’s more valuable traffic. So, if you’re not yet segmenting your audience by industry in your website or if you're not yet going all-in on this type of targeting, here’s an obvious upgrade for you to make in 2025. ------------------------------------------- Let’s Destroy Mediocre Marketing! 👋 Follow me (Tom Shapiro) for more B2B marketing content like this! ♻️ Repost to spread the word. #b2bmarketing #b2bseo #seostrategy

🔥 Here's my hot take on B2B customer journeys... If someone tries to tell you that the marketing funnel does not exist, they're WRONG. And also sort of RIGHT... Marketers who are trying to perfectly document their customers' journeys may be setting themselves up for failure. Especially in B2B when cycles are longer, the stakes are higher, and research is KEY. My recommendation: Have content that meets people at every single stage of the journey. And include contextually relevant CTAs throughout that content that will take them to content lower on the funnel. Is it going to be perfect? Absolutely not! A B2B buyer's journey is still likely to look like a bowl of spaghetti. 🍝 But at LEAST you're there to answer every important question they need answered to sell your product or service internally. (That's the beauty of SEO, after all. Appearing in the SERP at the exact moment they are looking for a product or service like yours.) For Stratabeat's clients, we perform a gap analysis with this content marketing funnel in mind. If we notice something is missing, we will add it to our content calendar. And we will prioritize content that leans lower down the funnel... Because, ya know, AI is likely going to answer most of those TOFU questions for the Unaware or Problem-Aware audiences. #customerjourney #marketingfunnel #contentmarketing #buyerjourney #b2bmarketing #b2bseo

Don’t start the SEO process with keyword research. Instead, start with audience research. Go deep to understand your target audience and their goals, thoughts, challenges, and frustrations. HOW? ✅ We typically spend time interviewing the client marketing team, salespeople, CEO, and product managers. ✅ We interview our client’s customers. (We LOVE this! They typically have super compelling stories to tell!) ✅ We ask for sales call recordings. (Sometimes we'll spend 15-20 hours just on these alone!) ✅ We review our client’s sales decks. ✅ We review the content that the audience is consuming online. ✅ When appropriate, we conduct a survey to the CRM database. (Or rely on our client’s customer surveys.) ✅ We walk through the customer journey ourselves, identifying obstacles in the process. ✅ We also do a competitive analysis. By COMBINING audience insights with keyword insights, your SEO & Content program becomes wholly customer-centric, resonates more deeply with your audience members, and drives greater rates of action. ------------------------------------------- Let’s Destroy Mediocre Marketing! 👋 Follow me (Tom Shapiro) for more B2B marketing content like this! ♻️ Repost to spread the word. #b2bmarketing #seo #b2bseo
