Women could add £250 BN to economy If they were given the opportunities and support to set up and grow businesses at the same rate as men. Will the UK government finally get itself together and enable this massive growth for the economy? > The new 'Invest in Women Taskforce' aims to close the gender funding gap by funneling £250M into women-led businesses This follows similar projects, including the Alison Rose Review of Female Entrepreneurship and the women-led high-growth enterprise taskforce. It's still not clear what impact those have had as the funding towards women has barely moved (I heard it even fell the first half of the year - need to get that data) Just a little reminder that women-led startups are a better bet > They deliver great ROI > Diverse teams perform better > We need them in our economy. ♻️ Please repost to spread the word Crossing all my fingers that this new initiative will be one of the many things that are going to move the needle in the right direction (led by some great women so that's fantastic!) But we need more than that - we need change and support in many areas. Follow Emmie Faust for more on female entrepreneurship And Female founders join 7K others our mission Female Founders Rise PS. I'm still amazed at how many organisations contact me to ask how they can support female founders and the minute money is mentioned they have no budget 🤔

  • Cost and Utilization Metrics – Onshore vs Offshore Healthcare Analytics Resources   Healthcare analytics is a critical area that involves collecting, processing, and interpreting data to improve patient outcomes, operational efficiency, and decision-making. The cost of healthcare analytics can vary significantly based on whether it is conducted onsite (onshore) or offshore. Here's a breakdown of the differences in costs and considerations: Onsite (Onshore) Healthcare Analytics vs. Offshore Healthcare Analytics:   -         Labor Costs: Higher salaries and benefits for data scientists, engineers, analysts, and IT support staff in countries like the U.S. or Western Europe can be significantly higher than in offshore locations. -          Infrastructure Costs include maintaining or renting physical office space, equipment, servers, and secure data centers. Onsite setups may also require advanced security measures and compliance tools to meet regulatory standards, while Offshore providers often utilize local infrastructure at much lower costs, benefiting from lower rent, utilities, and other expenses. -          Overhead Costs: Higher administrative, HR, and operational overhead, including training, compliance, and management. Offshoring typically reduces these costs due to differences in labor laws, taxation, and business expenses. -          Software and Licensing Fees: In high-cost countries, costs associated with local licensing, analytics tools, and software often require higher purchases or leases. On the other hand, in some cases, offshore providers may have access to lower-cost software or may negotiate better rates for software li   Cost Comparison: Onshore vs. Offshore: Labor Cost Differential: Data scientists and healthcare analytics professionals in high-cost countries may cost $100,000 to $150,000 per year or more, depending on experience and location vs equivalent professionals in countries like India may cost $20,000 to $50,000 per year, leading to substantial savings. Offshoring healthcare analytics can often save organizations between 30% and 70%, depending on the specific services and regions involved. Key Considerations for Healthcare Organizations: Offshoring requires stringent data protection agreements and compliance measures to mitigate risks. Implementing strict quality assurance processes and regular audits can help ensure data accuracy and reliability. Some organizations use a mix of onshore and offshore analytics to balance costs and quality, keeping sensitive tasks onshore while offshoring routine analytics tasks.

  • Navigating Healthcare Offshoring: Insights and Trends Navigating healthcare offshoring involves understanding the current trends, challenges, and best practices to maximize the benefits while minimizing risks. Healthcare organizations increasingly turn to offshore to access specialized skills, reduce costs, and accelerate innovation. Here are key insights and trends in healthcare offshoring: 1. Growing Demand for Offshore Healthcare IT and Analytics roles: There’s a rising demand for offshore professionals with expertise in healthcare IT, data analytics, electronic health records (EHR) management, telemedicine, and health informatics. 2. Focus on Cost Reduction: Offshoring is primarily driven by the need to reduce operational costs, particularly in non-core functions like billing, claims processing, and IT support. Offshore teams provide scalability, allowing healthcare organizations to manage fluctuating workloads without the overhead costs associated with maintaining large in-house teams. 3. Rise of Healthcare Analytics Services: The healthcare industry embraces data-driven decision-making to improve patient outcomes, reduce costs, and enhance operational efficiency. Offshore analytics services provide the expertise needed to extract valuable insights from vast healthcare data. Cloud Computing: Cloud-based solutions facilitate the offshoring of healthcare IT services by providing secure, scalable, and easily accessible platforms for remote teams. AI and Automation: Integrating AI and automation into offshore processes reduces manual errors, speeds up routine tasks, and allows offshore teams to focus on more complex, value-added services. 4. Impact of Globalization and Geopolitical Factors: The globalization of the workforce has expanded the talent pool, allowing healthcare organizations to access specialized skills worldwide. Organizations must be aware of geopolitical risks, such as changes in trade policies, data protection laws, or political instability in offshore locations, and plan accordingly. 5. Future Trends and Innovations AI-Driven Offshoring: The integration of AI in offshoring is expected to grow, with more tasks being automated, allowing offshore teams to focus on more strategic activities. Hybrid Models: The future may see a rise in hybrid offshoring models, where onshore and offshore teams work in tandem, combining their strengths to deliver superior healthcare services. Healthcare offshoring is evolving rapidly, driven by technological advancements, cost pressures, and the need for specialized skills. Organizations that navigate this landscape effectively can achieve significant benefits, including cost savings, enhanced patient care, and improved operational efficiency. However, success requires careful planning, selecting the right partners, ensuring compliance and security, and continuously adapting to emerging trends and challenges.

  • Benefits of Outsourcing Healthcare IT Analyst Role The savings from outsourcing a Healthcare IT Analyst can vary widely based on several factors, including location, tasks' complexity, and the outsourcing contract's terms. Here are some general points to consider: 1.  Cost Savings        Outsourcing to regions with lower labor costs, such as Southeast Asian countries, can lead to significant savings. For example, a healthcare IT Analyst in the U.S. might cost between $70,000 and $100,000 per year, while the same role outsourced to countries like India could cost between $20,000 and $40,000 annually. 2.  Operational Costs         Outsourcing can reduce costs related to recruitment, training, initial setup and benefits. In-house employees typically require health benefits, retirement contributions, and other employment-related expenses, which are often lower when outsourcing.  3. Quality and Efficiency  Specialized outsourcing firms might offer high expertise and efficiency, potentially leading to better outcomes and cost savings in the long run. However, ensuring that the quality of service and data security standards meet the required benchmarks is crucial.  4. Additional Considerations  Ensuring that the outsourcing partner complies with healthcare regulations like HIPAA (Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act) is essential. There might be costs associated with ensuring compliance and safeguarding patient data. In conclusion, outsourcing the Healthcare IT Analyst role can potentially save 30-50% of the cost compared to hiring domestically, making it a compelling option for healthcare organizations. #healthcare #IToutsourcing #DataAnalytics #techrecruitment #offshore
