Histograms help you visualize your process variation. One thing a histogram gives us an idea about is how much material is out of specifications. But there is a lot of differences that occur in histograms pulled from the same population. You cannot rely on a single histogram to estimate how much material is out of specifications. You must consider process variation using an approach like Agresti-Coull interval. Check out how this works in our publication: https://lnkd.in/gcKPpcEp #DataAnalysis #QualityImprovement #StatisticalTools #ProcessControl #Histograms #DataVisualization #AgrestiCoull

Histograms are often used to determine the relationship of the data to specifications. But process variation can cause there to be a lot of variation in histograms drawn from the same process. How do you take this into account? Check our next publication on histograms and variation. #Variation #Histograms

Are you keeping a close eye on the accuracy and precision of your measurement systems? In industries where precision matters, continuously monitoring your measurement systems is key to long-term success. Over time, even the best tools can drift or degrade, affecting your results and decision-making. Learn how to monitor your measurement systems over time. You are looking to replace an older measurement system with a new one. You want to know if the new measurement system is the “same” or “equivalent” to the old one. Note that you don’t want to know if they are different. You want to know if they are the same. In this case, the “same” means that the difference between the two measurement systems are within a predefined margin of error. If the difference is within that margin of error, then the observed differences are not meaningful in the practical sense. This publication introduces equivalence testing, in particular the two sample equivalence test. When using histograms to visualize data, you know how important it is to choose the right bar width. But did you know that adjusting the bar width can dramatically change the interpretation of your data? In the world of data analysis, a small tweak to the bar width of a histogram can make your patterns clearer—or make them disappear altogether. It’s like choosing the right lens to focus on the key trends. In this article, we dive into: ✅ How bar width affects the shape of your histograms ✅ The subtle differences between histograms and Pareto charts ✅ Practical tips to improve your data visualizations https://lnkd.in/gU3ENp9k #DataAnalysis #Histograms #SPC #DataVisualization #Analytics #DataScience #ExcelTips #BusinessInsights
