That’s a lot of solar! Congratulations to the industry on another landmark year in 2024. It's critical that we scale advanced solar recycling to match the pace of deployment in 2025. Advanced solar recycling means optimizing value extraction to maximize material recovery and meet a standard of purity that allows the materials to be reintroduced into the solar supply chain. Our customers and partners get it. We're closing this year celebrating their leadership building a circular solar economy and making solar even more sustainable. Join us!
U.S. #solar now produces enough electricity annually to power over 37 million homes. Total solar deployment in 2024 is again expected to exceed 40 GW, followed by annual installation volumes of at least 43 GW for the remainder of the decade. By 2029, total U.S. solar will be enough to power over 71 million homes. Dive into all the new details in SEIA and Wood Mackenzie's Q4 2024 Solar Market Insight report: seia.org/smi

With SOLARCYCLE's help, McCarthy Building Companies, Inc. recycles 97% of broken panels on its construction sites. ☀️ 🌎 “SOLARCYCLE is providing a clear example on how we ought to set up a recycling industry that supports a circular economy.” - Steffanie Dohn, McCarthy Building Companies The EPC’s panel recycling program not only benefits its clients by helping them reach their sustainability goals, but also speaks to the company’s philosophy of “we, not I.” Thank you Steffanie and McCarthy for your work making solar even more sustainable! 👏 Hear from more partners about their decision to work with SOLARCYCLE 👉 https://lnkd.in/gjUixq6P Suvi Sharma Jesse Simons Pablo Dias Robert Vinje Cody Mueller Ryan Booth Lizzy Aldridge Lauren G. #SolarRecycling #Circularity #SolarManufacturing #Manufacturing #Sustainability #RenewableEnergy #SolarEnergy #PVrecycling

When Vidha Dixit joined EDP Renewables North America, her goal was clear: to build a circularity program to responsibly and effectively recycle end-of-life solar panels and other components of EDP’s systems. She needed a recycling partner that understood circularity as a business cornerstone. For Vidha, transparency was key. "We partnered with SOLARCYCLE because we recognized that their expertise in this industry was really unmatched––from regulatory information to what happens to the materials and where they end up going." "That level of transparency and continued willingness to speak to us and answer our questions anytime we had something, whether it be big or small, was really, really critical.” Thank you Vidha and EDP for your commitment to diligent circularity programming and for your leadership in end-of-life panel recycling! 👏 Hear from other partners about their decision to work with SOLARCYCLE 👉 https://lnkd.in/gjUixq6P Suvi Sharma Jesse Simons Pablo Dias Robert Vinje Cody Mueller Ryan Booth Matthew Gough Jia D. #SolarRecycling #Circularity #SolarManufacturing #Manufacturing #Sustainability #RenewableEnergy #SolarEnergy #PVrecycling

For Canadian Solar Inc., circularity is everything. The manufacturer needed a recycling partner who would not just dispose of end-of-life solar panels, but instead extract valuable materials and return them to the supply chain to maximize environmental benefits. 🌎 SOLARCYCLE’s innovative approach met the challenge. “We want to see a world where no PV modules end up in a landfill and partnering with a company like SOLARCYCLE allows Canadian Solar to provide this service to the customer at an aggressive cost point to create that certainty for the life of the project and include it in the project’s economics.” - Adam R. Smith, Canadian Solar Through their leadership, Adam and Canadian Solar are building an industry that prioritizes quality end-of-life recycling, and raising the standard for manufacturers across the globe. This holiday season we are thankful for our customers and their commitment to making solar more sustainable. We're one step closer to onshoring and decarbonizing the clean energy supply chain! ☀ We're pleased to announce our partnership with Genesis Alkali to source Wyoming-grown natural soda ash, an essential raw material that we will use to produce solar glass at our factory in Georgia. Today the vast majority of imported solar glass is made with synthetically produced soda ash. But naturally produced soda ash is 37% less greenhouse gas intensive than its synthetic alternative. Already we're on track to be one of the first solar glass producers in the US, and by using Genesis's natural materials we can go even further to lower carbon emissions of solar manufacturing and accelerate a solar supply chain in America. 🇺🇸 "Producing high-performance solar glass in Cedartown, Georgia will help America re-shore a key piece of the solar supply chain. It will also reduce trade risk, promote innovation, and help solar manufacturers looking to benefit from domestic content clean energy tax credits. Our agreement with Genesis Alkali is a key part of onshoring the supply chain to build solar in the US.” - Suvi Sharma, CEO and co-founder of SOLARCYCLE Jesse Simons Pablo Dias Robert Vinje Cody Mueller https://lnkd.in/g-5uutHx

It's been a busy few weeks in the energy world as we consider what the change of administration will mean for renewables — but I was glad to have the opportunity to visit DC this week to talk about the benefits of solar #PV and #recycling to those who attended the Texas State Society breakfast sponsored by our partner Ørsted. Thanks to Matthew Gough of SOLARCYCLE for taking a few questions I couldn't answer, to Barry Brown of Texas State Society for hosting and to Jessica Lawson for AV help — and special thanks to Hayes Framme and Rennie Meyers of Ørsted for inviting me out and being such great hosts.

Today we are excited to announce our 3rd and largest solar panel recycling facility, in partnership with #Georgia Office of Governor Brian P. Kemp The facility will be the largest in the US, capable of processing 10 million panels per year at full capacity. That’s enough to handle 25-30% of the US solar panels reaching end of life in 2030. The 255,000 sq ft facility will sit directly across from the land we have purchased from the Cedartown Development Authority, where we will soon begin construction on the first-of-its-kind solar glass factory at our Cedartown Georgia campus -- creating 1250+ family-sustaining jobs and investing more than $400M. This circular economy campus represents and advances our commitment to onshoring the #clean energy supply chain. With this announcement, we are thrilled to welcome Microsoft to our bench of strategic partners, including Fifth Wall, HG Ventures, Prologis Ventures, Closed Loop Partners, and Urban Innovation Fund. Thank you to our partners and customers for their support for this milestone and continued leadership making solar even more sustainable with SOLARCYCLE.
