Conventional farming practices have taken a toll on our food system, human health, and the environment—but there’s a better way. Regenerative agriculture combines Indigenous wisdom, holistic management, and cutting-edge science to build biodiversity, improve farm profitability, balance the climate, and restore our health. We’re proud to support the 100 Million Acres Project to catalyze the transformation of farming practices across the U.S. Together, we aim to transition 100 million acres of crop and rangeland to regenerative agriculture by 2030—reaching the critical “tipping point” for these practices to go mainstream. ✨ Let’s regenerate our farms, our food, and our future: ✅ Take the pledge. ✅ Join the movement. 🌾 Let’s regenerate 100 million acres! 👉 Visit: 100millionacres.org #regenerativeagriculture #commonground #soilhealth #100MillionAcres Common Ground (Movie) Ayesha Ali Erica Campbell

Across the U.S., farmers and ranchers are adopting regenerative practices that restore the land, protect the environment, and ensure a better food system for generations to come. Thanks to our partners at Mad Agriculture, we’re learning about the powerful stories that highlight the critical role USDA conservation programs play in making this transformation possible. Take Oahu Grazers, for example: sheep grazing and solar power come together at Oahu Grazers, where Raia and Daniel Olsen manage vegetation regeneratively beneath solar panels. Their innovative approach not only maintains the landscape but also helps reduce fire risks on the island – balancing livestock, land, and renewable energy! 🌾🐑 These stories underscore why we must push for stronger support in the upcoming #FarmBill. Farmers like the Olsens, who manage 3,300 acres, are leading the charge toward a regenerative future. Let’s ensure they have the resources they need to succeed! 👉 Read more farmer stories and be inspired @ https://lnkd.in/g2_aYbdx

New Report from Friends of the Earth U.S. and Profundo🚨 The authors of the report found that U.S. food retailers face $219 billion in financial risks if they continue allowing pesticides in their supply chains. These risks stem from pesticide-driven: 🌍 Climate damages ($4.5 billion) 🌿 Biodiversity losses ($34 billion) 📉 Operational, financial, and reputational risks Pesticides aren’t just a threat to pollinators—they threaten biodiversity, climate resilience, and the bottom lines of major retailers. Whole Foods Market, Kroger, and Meijer have made strides with new pesticide policies, but the industry as a whole has a long way to go. This report is released alongside Friends of the Earth’s Bee-Friendly Retailer Scorecard--highlighting both the challenges and leaders in protecting pollinators and biodiversity. 🐝 📖 Dive into the full report here: https://lnkd.in/gkgUuj8h #Pesticides #RegenerativeAgriculture #ClimateAction #Biodiversity #PollinatorProtection #FoodRetail Kendra Klein, PhD Gerard Rijk Barbara Kuepper Pierre Mineau Charles Benbrook

Another great article by Ken Roseboro covering greenwashing and the role of regenerative certification and verification programs. “In order to get those outcomes farmers need to be demonstrating that they’re following the soil health pillars. If they are just doing cover cropping and spraying all the time, they’re not building soil health. Rigorous standards are really important.” —Jeffrey Bos of our Soil & Climate Initiative (SCI)
New report finds large corporations are greenwashing and diluting the meaning of regenerative agriculture; regenerative certifiers say validating regenerative outcomes can prevent greenwashing. #regenerativeagriculture #certification #greenwashing
Can certification programs prevent greenwashing of regenerative claims?

Our partners & friends at Mad Agriculture recently launched a project dedicated to showcasing the critical role of USDA conservation programs through a blend of data & stories from farmers and ranchers. First, why do USDA Conservation programs matter? USDA conservation programs are critical for advancing regenerative agriculture across the U.S. These programs support practices like no-till farming, biodiversity conservation, & water management, these programs help farmers protect natural resources while enhancing the long-term resilience of their land. 🌱 But...the demand for conservation funding exceeds availability, with only 30-35% of farmer applications being accepted. It’s clear—there is a need to protect & expand these essential programs in the upcoming #FarmBill. This is such a great interview with an amazing partner of the SCA Network, Jesse Smith and the team at White Buffalo Land Trust have been a leading voice in how you build a regenerative system.
“There’s no regen lands without regen brands” That awareness is exemplified in what has gone into developing Figure Ate. Figure Ate is a regenerative food brand birthed from the non-profit, White Buffalo Land Trust. Created out of a deep understanding that promoting regenerative agriculture will take investments in land stewardship, research + monitoring, and training + education… But it will ALSO take enterprise development. Enterprise development that supports ecological stewardship while creating market access for the stewards, returning to them an adequate ROI for their efforts. This has begun at Figure Ate via their persimmon vinegar and beef biltong products, and Kyle and Jesse join us this week to give us a look at what’s been built to date and what’s to come in the future.
