In Season 2, Episode 1 of the Skillabration Podcast we're discussing financial literacy and what exactly makes a lasting currency. This can be something new and interesting to discuss with your kids. In fact, you could even make a game out of it. Whenever I play games in class, they're usually pretty simple, but still a lot of fun. Students like guessing games, so that's one you could do to share the keys to a lasting currency with them. For example: Guess how many traits it takes to make a lasting currency (3, 5, or 7). Students also enjoy matching games and sequencing. So, after learning the keys to a lasting currency you could cut up paper strips to have them sort the terms with the definitions. Again, it sounds simple, but my students always enjoy it! To put a twist on it, you could put a time limit on the activity. #HistoryOfMoney #Civilization #Economics
