Skalawag Productions turns 9 today, and it's funny how quickly that seems to have gone! One day you wake up and you have 2 kids, 6 employees, a couple of emmy's, the rollercoaster of stress to full on joy, and you realize that's how life goes. This year we've hit some huge goals, and missed some others, had some personal highs and some hard life shit happen. Personally - my wife for helping us get through the busy good and the busy bad lifestyle that can come with running a production company. And overall, professionally, the thing that is most important is the people I get to collaborate with on a daily basis. They are the ones who are helping us build a collective vision at Skalawag Productions & Roll Cut Studios. Thank you to Ryan Kelly, Monica Takushi Lee, Jacob Midkiff, LaRose Washington, Sydney Beil, Huge Galdones, and Missy Maan de Kok Myers (and all those who came before, especially Aaron Dolan)- you all make it go! Grateful for the ability to continue to the journey in the midst of the rollercoaster of entrepreneurship. I'm forever moving the goal posts on myself to stay hungry, while trying to reflect on all that we have collectively achieved over these 9 years. Always reminded of the Walt Whitman quote, "These are the days that must happen to you." 🔥 NEW REEL! NEW REEL! 🔥 It's been a minute since Skalawag Productions last launched a demo reel (2022!) It's often hard to find time to focus on showing us off, when we are working hard on getting client projects shipped. But every couple of years, its time for us to kill our own darlings and cut something that updates the world on what we've been doing. For the un-initiated a demo reel is a collection of our best work, new and old, cut together into an easy to digest, snackable, "Play the Hits!" expression of us. Some milestones since the last reel:  • Grew the Skalawag team to 6 FTE (Shout out to the killer team, Ryan Kelly, Monica Lee, Jacob Midkiff, LaRose Washington, Sydney Beil, and me!) And of course my partners in crime on the Roll Cut Studios side, Huge Galdones & Missy Maan de Kok Myers) • Shipped over 300 videos! (ads, product videos, documentaries, content libraries, GIFs, you name it)  • Expanded into a new 4000 sq ft tabletop studio with Roll Cut Studios • Worked on some really meaningful + fulfilling creative projects.
