Earlier this year, 25 Simpson Strong-Tie employees in Texas came together to build pergolas for two disabled veterans through Smiles Charity, using our Outdoor Accents® hardware. As a platinum sponsor, we’re proud to support their mission to give back to veterans and the community. Our team worked hard to complete the builds in one day, and the veterans were grateful for the support. It’s always rewarding to give back, and we’re thankful for the opportunity to make a difference. Read our blog to hear what our employees had to say about this volunteer experience! https://bit.ly/3V91SZR

At Simpson Strong-Tie, we take pride in our company values, rooted in the Nine Principles of Doing Business by our founder, Barclay Simpson. One key principle is “Give Back,” which emphasizes our obligation to the community and humanity. Recently, we partnered with the Valley Contractors Workforce Foundation to help raise walls for a new home in Paradise, CA, a community affected by the Camp Fire in 2018. Our leadership, employees, and trainees from the Hands On Tools Mobile Construction Training program came together for this effort, and we contributed $10,000 toward the build. This reflects our commitment to home building and supporting construction trades education. We’re grateful to our partners for helping us rebuild homes and communities. Together, we’re making a difference.

Earlier this year, a group of Simpson Strong-Tie volunteers joined over a thousand other volunteers at the Carter Work Project, Twin Cities Habitat for Humanity. Together, they built 35 homes, honoring the legacy of the Carters. Additionally, our support included a $35,000 donation and product contributions as part of our Roof-Raiser sponsorship. We are proud to give back to the community through projects like this. #CarterWorkProject #habitatforhumanity #strongtie #giveback #companyculture #companyvalues #SimpsonStrongTie
