Many K-12 schools have deployed a significant amount of technology in recent years, but a common challenge is measuring its return on investment (ROI). 💰 According to a 2023 survey, 85% of U.S. educators believe it’s difficult to assess the impact of educational technology on learning outcomes. Additionally, 67% of software licenses are reportedly going unused in some districts, suggesting inefficiencies in technology use. In contrast, the impact of Slate’s absence management and substitute staffing solution is clear. 🌟 A classroom with or without a teacher. 🍎 By increasing substitute fill rates from 81% to 93%, Slate ensures that classrooms remain productive, reducing the negative effects of teacher absences. 💪 Contact us for a quote or a demo. https://lnkd.in/eGV4ciPk

K12 School District of the Year has been named! Congrats to Texas’ Ector County Independent School District 🎉 The superintendent credits these initiatives for their improvement from underperforming on most metrics to their first ever B rating from TEA: 1️⃣ A focus on foundational pieces of student success, such as ensuring school buses ran on time, students were fed, and there were enough teachers in every classroom. 2️⃣ Human capital investments in teacher pipeline and compensation. 3️⃣ Prioritizing academics, particularly through the district’s personalized, blended learning model that taps into high-dosage online tutoring. A whitepaper from Pearson identified a few new ways to impact teacher time management challenges and burnout. 😮💨 A summary of their tips: 1️⃣ Focus on the energy needed for tasks versus the time, and schedule high focus tasks such as lesson planning with your natural flow of higher energy times. 2️⃣ Batch tasks versus multi tasking. 3️⃣ Systemize as much as possible, and involve students where possible (students handing out papers, students leading an activity). 4️⃣ Block off time for family outreach - even 15 minutes can make a difference - create email templates for various scenarios, and track outreach so at some point all families will be reached.

Did you know that empowered employees are 67% more likely to outperform their peers? 💡 When people feel supported and trusted, they bring their best—and that translates into measurable success. At Slate, we believe that tech solutions only go so far without the right people behind them. 🧑💻 That’s why we design systems that empower both. 💪 Because most tech problems are actually people problems in disguise—and we solve for both. #EmpowerPerformance #EdTech #HumanCenteredTech #FutureOfLearning

Did you know? 🤔 Studies show that teachers often use their free time for activities that recharge them, from early-morning fitness routines like cycling or yoga to catching up on their favorite reads or podcasts. But with manual absence management, mornings are often spent scrambling to find subs. 📲 Slate changes that by automating substitute scheduling so teachers, principals, and assistant principals can get back to what they want to do each morning—whether it's powering up on the Peloton, sipping a quiet cup of coffee, or getting ahead on lesson prep. “Get Your Mornings Back” with Slate—so every day starts on the right note. ☀️ #EducationInnovation #TeacherWellness #EdTech

What would we do without them. Substitute teachers. Their role is critical to making sure our students get the classroom instruction they need. They fill in when our teachers need the time out of the classroom they need. And they keep education moving forward at a time when it's most crucial. Thank you - from the entire team at Slate, and the educators we serve - we are so grateful for each one of you. #substituteteaching #teachers #education #k12education #substituteteachers #substitutestaffing #substitutueappreciationday

86% of public schools are struggling to find educators. (USA Today) 😬 Supplemental staffing has never been more needed, and valuable. Superintendents need to ensure teachers get the time off, support and professional development they need. 💪 Teachers need to be able to request time off easily, and know they'll have the coverage their classes need. Because everyone wants the students to thrive! ❤️ We can play a big part of getting this equation right. 👉 https://lnkd.in/eCC_PQzz
