According to Similarweb digital data, we observed a 25% decrease in web traffic to LinkedIn between Christmas Eve and New Year's Day last year compared to the rest of December and January. Interestingly, on LinkedIn's app, the decrease in DAUs was smaller—16%—likely because people continue scrolling on their phones but spend less time in front of their computers during this period. Whether it’s to spend more time with family or to recharge, both stats suggest that people tend to disconnect during this special time. Wicked has already grossed $333 million at the box office, ranking 4th in 2024 so far. But the excitement is spreading beyond theaters and into the digital world. In November, searches for 'Wicked' skyrocketed to 18.3 million—a 603% increase from October. Organic clicks to the Wicked store on Amazon in the U.S. grew by an impressive 580%, reaching 320K, while Amazon searches saw an astonishing 7,563% surge. Even as cinemas continue to face challenges, traffic to Fandango in the U.S. peaked in November, with the 'Wicked 2024 Showtimes' page becoming the second most visited on the site.
