Today’s Shopify Edition is a little different. There aren’t any big, new, shiny products. No headline chasers. This is The Boring Edition. Everything we are sharing today is about small, but significant platform improvements. Things that optimize the platform, improve performance and make everything we already have is the best it can be. We have 150+ updates to products you already use day to day. Here are a few highlights from The Boring Edition: - Sidekick is now available to all merchants in English. Sidekick is trained to know all of Shopify and designed to know the specific context of your store so it can give you personalized recommendations. Now you can go into your Shopify admin and open a chat window to start working with Sidekick. - Shop Campaigns are now available for all merchants in the US & Canada. You can run ad campaigns targeting new and existing customers at a set price, and only pay when a customer converts. - Customer Account Extensions are here. That means you can add features to customer accounts, like loyalty programs, wishlists, and post-purchase offers, without touching code. - Role-based access controls are rolling out, making it super simple to scale user permissions as your business grows. - Tax and duties can now be included in the product price when using Managed Markets. No more sticker shock at checkout. Including taxes within the product price makes the shopping experience feel local, which is the norm especially in Europe. This update will improve conversion and reduce abandoned carts - Shopify's cart loads up to 50% faster, boosting checkout conversion. We’ve optimized our infrastructure for faster loading. Accelerated checkout buttons now load up to 58% faster on the product details page too. - Chat apps can now be added to checkout for Plus merchants. Add chat apps to the Checkout and Thank You pages to provide real-time customer support at the most critical point of the buyer journey. This isn’t the big shiny Edition. This is The Boring Edition.
