Users searching for products often see a grid of merchant listings as the top result on Google. But getting accurate data on these listings is tough. Here’s what you need to know: 1️⃣ Search Console Data Impressions for web pages are registered when they appear in search results. For merchant listings, impressions are only registered after users click to expand them, skewing metrics like click-through rate and average position. 2️⃣ Rank Tracking Popular tools like Ahrefs and Semrush struggle with merchant listing data: Ahrefs requires manual export for tracking. Semrush doesn’t include merchant listings in keyword rankings. 3️⃣ Conversion Tracking Organic traffic from merchant listings in GA4 should appear under “Organic Shopping,” but it’s often misattributed.
