Check it out — our new app launches today! 🙌
🎉 It’s a big day for anyone who loves Shopify, Canva, and saving time! 🎉 Shopify Connect for Canva cuts down on needless downloading, uploading, and hunting around for the right product files. Our new app lets you access your Shopify products and files right inside Canva. Making this connection was the natural next step in Seguno Software’s journey. When Marc Baumbach and I started the company in 2017, we chose to build exclusively for the Shopify ecosystem. That paid off, and we were fortunate to win Shopify's Build Award for Best App earlier this year. We’ve also fostered a strategic partnership with Canva. We were an early adopter of integrating it right into our email marketing app. Most of our customers use Canva to create beautiful designs, so it made sense to bring these tools closer together. I encourage every Shopify merchant who uses Canva to install the app. It will drastically improve your design workflow. Follow the link in the comments to learn more, and let me know what you think! Huge thanks to Shopify and Canva for trusting Seguno to build the bridge. And a special thank you to Indy Sen, Warren Chen, Andrew Krutz, Anwar Haneef, Anna Kelk, Olivia Johnson, Megan Goldman, Desirae Odjick, and others behind the scenes for staying the course and supporting us. Shopify, Canva, and Seguno: we go good together 😉 #madewithcanva #shopifymarketing #productphotos #getseguno

After four days of team bonding, it’s time to pull the plug on Seguno Band Camp Fall ’24 🔌 We spent the week in sound-check mode, preparing for one of our most exciting launches ever 🎤 🎹 Are we ready to take the stage with our new app? Not yet. But a week packed with work, play, and food — lots of food 😋 — pushed us into the final stretch. We also connected with partners, merchants, and the community. Thanks to: ➡️ Warren Chen for stopping into the office and sharing Canva's ecosystem pursuits — we’re excited to do our part in empowering Shopify brands ➡️ Kristen Baileys (Burghardt), co-founder and CEO of Bake Eat Love, for a fireside chat about your entrepreneurial journey and providing priceless feedback about Seguno ➡️ The DIAPER BANK OF NORTH CAROLINA for the dignity you distribute across the state — we know our 4,752 diaper-packing effort is just a drop in the bucket in hurricane relief efforts Now that we have closed the curtain on Band Camp, we’re making the final sound-check adjustments as the big launch quickly approaches. Shopify merchants, get ready to rock! 🤘

Tune 🎵 in with us 9/6 to see where this goes!
Mark your calendars and tell your families! #TheFridayNooner returns THIS WEEK and we have a lot in store for you coming up this Friday at, you guessed it!, noon! 🙌 🦄 This week's guest will be Chris Geiss, Co-Founder and CEO of Durham-based Seguno Software, an email marketing platform integrated into the Shopify platform. Fun fact: Chris is a Bronto alum and the GrepBeat Godfather is an investor in Seguno, which also used to share office space with GrepBeat. 2021 was the last time we had Chris on The Friday Nooner, so make sure to tune in to see not only the changes he's had, but also some of the changes The Friday Nooner program has had too!

When we were asked to choose a walk-up song at Triangle Business Journal's Best Places to Work 2024 awards event, we picked Rush’s “One Little Victory.” Why? Two reasons: 1️⃣ Rush is an inspiration to us. As a trio rock band, they are small but incredibly mighty. All of our office rooms bear one of the band’s song titles (“One Little Victory” is our mothers’ room). 2️⃣ Winning a BPTW award IS a victory. We are humbled to land the #1 spot in the small company division again. Yes, we celebrated with the team. But it’s just one little victory along our journey, meaning we quickly got back to our mission of empowering Shopify merchants. Thank you to the TBJ and to our band of Segoonies who made this possible. And congrats to all the other #TBJBestPlaces winners! It was an honor to gather with so many other companies that take culture seriously (and picked great walk-up songs, too 🙂). Rock on 🤘

It’s important to hear from the marketplace firsthand whenever we can. Events like the wholesale trade show NY NOW® are golden listening opportunities. We had an incredible time talking with so many brands, including our own customers (👋 Stacey Cleary of 4Joy Paddles). We’re also thankful for the chance to contribute to NY NOW’s Incubator program. It provides extra assistance to brands younger than five years old. To help startups navigate the wholesale landscape, we created a short video series titled “Applying Your DTC Email Strategies to B2B.” Check out the course, along with other free resources: https://lnkd.in/e9P6dEUJ

The Shopify Build Award has arrived! We’re not sure anything will top the unboxing experience. It’s been over a month since the award announcement, and we are still humbled that Shopify deemed our email marketing app one of the three best apps in the ecosystem. But our work continues. There’s always more to do in supporting Shopify’s mission of making commerce better for everyone. Big thank you to GROW for throwing another great event. We got to chat about one of our favorite topics (retention marketing) and hear from the ecommerce ecosystem. What was the topic that kept coming up? ⏱️Time. Whether we spoke with an enterprise brand, newly launched store, or consultant, everyone is juggling multiple tasks when it comes to marketing. Key takeaways: 1️⃣ Brands are looking for partners who make complex tasks simple. 2️⃣ Data housed across multiple platforms and apps slows down content creation. 3️⃣ Brands are looking for creative and time-efficient ways to leverage reviews, Shopify data, and educational content in their email to help grow their store. In addition to the conversations, we enjoyed eating and walking through the streets of NYC 🍕. It’s always a good time at GROW.

Anyone heading to GROW NY next week to learn from the fastest-growing retail brands? If yes, find our booth! We’d love to talk retention marketing. Chat with one of our merchants (Killa Vanilla) to understand how they’re using Seguno. And snag goodies from some of our favorite Shopify merchants while you’re at it — NuGo Nutrition and Duchess Cookies. Tix are still available: https://lnkd.in/gAFjqe4d
