Participamos en el Festival Artístico Feminista en San Salvador, el cual contó con la presentación de obras teatrales cortas, pinturas y collages de artivismo feminista centrados en los mitos del amor romántico, el acceso de las juventudes a la educación integral en sexualidad (EIS), a los métodos anticonceptivos y al aborto legal, seguro y gratuito. El festival fue coordinado por las jóvenes integrantes de la Red de Colectivas Voces Valiosas con el apoyo de #LasMélidas, socias de nuestro #FondoCamy. Al finalizar, las participantes conmemoraron, mediante un altar simbólico, a mujeres jóvenes recientemente desaparecidas en El Salvador. ¡Muchas gracias por hacernos parte de este encuentro!

Desde nuestro Fondo Camy, acompañamos a nuestras socias de Agrupación Ciudadana por la Despenalización del Aborto El Salvador en el lanzamiento del 'Observatorio Manuela', una herramienta contra la criminalización de las emergencias obstétricas en #ElSalvador. La iniciativa es liderada por organizaciones colitigantes del #CasoManuela y servirá para fiscalizar que el Estado salvadoreño cumpla con las medidas ordenadas por la Corte Interamericana de Derechos Humanos, así como monitorear nuevos casos. Actualmente, en El Salvador están siendo criminalizadas 9 mujeres que enfrentaron emergencias obstétricas. Dos de ellas están privadas de su libertad y el régimen de excepción obstaculiza su defensa. Aplaudimos y felicitamos este esfuerzo de vigilancia y denuncia social para que procurar justicia y evitar que más mujeres en El Salvador sigan siendo perseguidas por enfrentar emergencias de este tipo. #manuelajusticiayesperanza #ElSalvador

We’re excited to share this wrap-up report of highlights from the 2024 Central America Donors Forum, which brought together more than 1,000 people from across 625 organizations and 27 countries in the beautiful city of Antigua Guatemala. CADF 2024, our largest gathering in the event’s 14-year history, featured 65 sessions, meetings and activities that explored the role played by civil society, philanthropy, government, independent media, the private sector, the international community and multilateral organizations in building more equitable, fair, prosperous, democratic and healthy societies.
