Interesting take from Kevin Wheeler -- with growing implementation of AI tools in talent acquisition, what is the role of a great recruiter? We're certainly a way's off from "AI recruiters" being able to replace their human counterparts. In a space as nuanced as Climate Tech, I see a growing demand for specialized services from recruiters with deep sector experience who not only know how to use the tools, but layer in a profound understanding of the unique skills and candidate quality needed. Early-stage founders, usually distinctly bandwidth-constrained, need their recruiters to have the ability to quickly source top talent from their own trusted relationships AND use the newest tools to quickly identify and respond to inbound talent before they're interviewing elsewhere. AI alone isn't enough yet -- I see recruiters as the connective tissue, doing “facilitation” to cut through all of the “aggregation”.
