Exploration Tower May Become Space Education/Event Center "U.S. Space Force Historical Foundation wants to transform Port Canaveral's landmark Exploration Tower into an immersive public learning center showcasing "the past, present and future of space exploration" via exhibits, interactive technology and educational programs." This is the only place on the planet where we have five modes of transportation! What a resource this would be: "There's going to be immersive educational displays. There's going to be amazing programming, both for the private companies to use and also for the public to enjoy. And really, at the end of the day, it's the greatest launch-viewing tower in the world — because it looks out onto humanity's greatest spaceport," Jim Thomas, foundation executive advisor said. Women in Aviation International set attendance records with 30,000+ girls worldwide in attendance for its hashtag #GirlsinAviationDay last year and is expected to surpass that for the 10th anniversary of the program. In our local community on the Space Coast WAI-Harbor City is hosting an event Sheltair at Melbourne Orlando International Airport (MLB). Thousands of girls, ages 8-18, around the world on September 21 will be able to experience the 10th Annual Girls in Aviation Day (hashtag #GIAD) in their local communities through unique events hosted by Women in Aviation International (WAI) chapters and corporate members. We just learned about the Space Coast Science Education Alliance and it has a very cool event for Grades 3-8 Saturday, September 28, 2024, 8:00am-12:00pm RESEARCH RULES! 2024. A science fair conference for students in grades 3-8, their parents and teachers. Its goal is to help students understand what a scientist does, creating a life long interest in #STEM/ #STEAM fields, focusing on inquiry science and original student research.
