What I have found is that people focus on different metrics on LinkedIn. Some people focus on the number of comments, while others focus on the amount of "likes". What I focus on is in my opinion the most important metric to measure....Post Impressions. But what are they? As defined by LinkedIn, "Post impressions are the number of times your posts were seen on LinkedIn. This number is an estimate and may not be precise." So why is that important? The more impressions you have, the more visibility you have, which means the greater opportunity for business growth you will have. So how did I do it? 1. Joined 3 groups where my counterparts or ideal clients spend their time 2. Post a relevant poll 1-2x per week 3. This has nothing to do with trying to beat the algorithm, but it does have everything to do with leveraging engagement on LinkedIn in a meaningful and organic fashion. You will read post after post, blog after blog, and article after article on how to accomplish that. But the truth is there is no secret sauce or shortcut. For me, 3 things have always stood out to increase the engagement of one's content on LinkedIn: 1. Produce content that solves your audience's problem 2. Post a poll 1x per week in a group that is full of your peers 3.
