Business coaching tip #00459: Dump the to-do list. Wait, seriously? How am I supposed to deal with everything that needs to get done? Here’s the thing: your to-do list is actually holding you back. Constantly multitasking, putting the urgent tasks first – this leaves you perpetually on the brink of fumbling your responsibilities. We recommend instead to build a priority list. The difference lies in the fact that your priority list will be shorter – 3 or 4 essential tasks per week – that's it! This will help you see things from an outside perspective and focus on completing the strategic tasks necessary to achieve your long term goals. You’ll then be able to allocate your time accordingly, and will notice that you have a lot more clarity of thought – which will allow you to work in a way that is much more sustainable long term. So burn that to-do list, and carve your priorities in stone! Your wallet, and your body, will thank you :)
