Helping you find fraud in financial transactions.

About us

Savitrace fraud investigation software was born from a request by a partner of a renowned UK Forensic Accounting firm. He asked if there was any 'cool tech' that could support him in performing complex analysis of financial transactions in the form of bank statements and an extract from a business accounting system. The request was for an alternative to the onerous, manual MS Excel workflows that forensic accountants and investigation lawyers are well familiar with. A partnership was created that married Savient's deep domain expertise in software technology solutions with Digital Risks Experts' pioneering knowledge in eDiscovery workflows. Together we've built a powerful new tool that addresses the gap in the financial transaction analysis market. Savitrace is successfully used on live cases producing evidentially reliable results that stand up to the stringent scrutiny of a court.

In London for an excellent meeting exploring how Savitrace can help reduce the cost and time it takes to carry out complex financial investigations. I took advantage of my time here to pop into The British Museum for some creative inspiration, looking at money, money substitutes and how there has always been the need to counter #fraud and #financialtheft. Did you know the first coins were probably produced and used in Lydia, now central Turkey (650 - 450 BC). They were made from electrum, a naturally occurring mixture of gold and silver, and were made to particular weights. #nonewproblems #inspiration #learningfromhistory The picture shows an early Roman example.

Just finished reading the amazing Lucy Smith’s LLM in education paper. Lots to think about as a parent and some great ideas for product development. I remember being told ‘if you use a calculator you won’t learn maths’, LLM is no different, it’s a tool not a solution. The key is to ensure education as we would with any tool. You wouldn’t just start using a soldering iron without some training, LLM’s are the same. Savient Limited Savitrace #learning #AI

An organised crime group responsible for laundering millions in criminal cash, drug distribution and the attempted fraudulent acquisition of £1.5million of government grants has been dismantled following a NCA investigation. Rickinder Hare and Neelen Balarajah were sentenced to a total of 14 years and six months for money laundering and conspiracy to supply class A drugs. In 2022, NCA officers witnessed Balarajah take possession of a ‘Gucci’ embossed box containing over £20,000. When challenged, Balarajah attempted to escape, driving his car at the arresting officers. Hare who had organised the exchange was subsequently arrested. Officers searched Balarajah’s home and found a substantial amount of cash, herbal cannabis, cocaine, and numerous empty wrappings which also tested positive for traces of cocaine. The group also attempted to secure access to government grants and funding to remove waste from a commercial site. NCA investigations demonstrated that they didn't have the capacity to remove and legally dispose of the waste, and were looking to divert the funds, most likely to other criminal ventures. Our investigation has identified a number of individuals closely linked to the group, as well as connections to politically exposed individuals overseas. We will continue investigating to determine if any of these were associated with their criminal activity. Read the full story ➡️ https://lnkd.in/eVJvsdpT

Brilliant speakers and research presented at the 13th Counter Fraud, Cybercrime and Forensic Accounting Conference this week. Thank you to Oleksiy Feshchenko, former advisor to the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime for covering how virtual assests are changing finances and organised crime. I took away a lot about the dynamic and rapidly evolving landscape of digital currencies, blockchain, other virtual assets, and the response of international communities. Thank you to Dr Cody Porter and Iain Reid for presenting research into applying deception detection methods to economic crime contexts - it's fascinating to see how this area is evolving and the ways that experts can approach combating economic crime. Sadly I could not attend the conference in person this year so I missed out on the many coffee break chats. Thank you to the Centre for Cybercrime and Economic Crime (CCEC) - University of Portsmouth and conference organisers for making it accessible for online attendees. #fraud #AssetTracing #AML #Savitrace www.savitrace.com

He covered what Service Mesh is, its importance, and why it's a game-changer for modern application architecture. Our team left the session with a greater understanding of how Service Mesh enhances communication, security, and observability between microservices. Thanks to Dan for such an engaging and informative talk! #TechInnovation #Microservices #TeamLearning
