About us
The San Francisco Bay Times is the largest and oldest LGBT newspaper in the San Francisco Bay Area that is and always has been 100% LGBT funded and owned. In 1978, the SF Bay Times became the first newspaper in Northern California and perhaps the world to be jointly and equally created by gay men and lesbians working together. We value the role our legacy continues to play in fostering unity in the LGBT community. Circulation and readership are verified by an independent agency. The SF Bay Times is a bi-weekly paper known for its high journalistic standards in content, design and advertising. Readers of the Bay Times are educated, successful, community-involved, family supportive and hold dear the value of recreation and leisure activities, including travel, dining and entertainment events. The SF Bay Times offers print and web advertising, full content placement online, e-mail marketing services, events and social media. Our reach is 70,000 - 75,000 LGBT contacts in the SF Bay Area and beyond, and we reach more women in Northern California than any other media outlet.
