Now that the storm has cleared, I can take a breath and reflect on the past week. ⛈️ My experience representing Ativion at RTM Business Group CIO Congress in Orlando was extraordinary. I have never witnessed such an organized, empathetic response to reorganizing an event of this scale. The lift of the RTM team is incredible. We got be part of a valuable event despite Milton’s best efforts. Events like RTM highlight the importance of connection. There is value in being able connect as professionals and humans. I was a ball of nerves leaving Tuesday, but I also could smile knowing I had some amazing new people in my corner. I’m so grateful myself and Dan Cooper were able to fly out well ahead of the storm. Big thanks to Delta Air Lines for getting us out safely. (We didn’t get stranded at the airport like we feared Neil Bolton). ✈️ To all my family and friends, new and old, in Florida, my thoughts are with you as you begin to recover. Coming off the heels of Helene myself, I’m devestated for the road you have ahead.

So, I spent the last few days in Orlando at the School Safety and Facilities conference held by RTM Business Group. As I am sure you are aware, there is a major storm heading that way. Imagine trying to run an event with 500+ people, 90 different companies, and handling all of those logistics while everyone is trying to adjust their travel schedules so that they stay out of harm's way. The result? An outstanding event where we built new relationships, had tremendous conversations and generated tremendous ROI. The folks at RTM Business Group were first class as always, they rolled up their sleeves and made sure everyone had an outstanding event while condensing the schedule on the fly which had to be a logistical nightmare. They did all of that work with smiles on their faces and with the calmness of true professionalism. I cannot thank that team enough. In the toughest of circumstances, they showed why they are the best!!!

RTM Business Group Fall East was an incredible opportunity for us to reconnect with valued clients, partners, and friends. Despite the impending hurricane, the event allowed us to deepen relationships and continue meaningful conversations that drive innovation in education.
