    🌶 Spicy take: You're slicing data and presenting information to serve your viewpoint, whether you know it or not. 🌶 It's not your fault, though. Humans have biases. Crystal Widjaja advocates for a more nuanced understanding of biases, especially in how they influence decision-making and judgment. She highlights two that she comes across most often: 1️⃣ Confirmation bias: the tendency to search for, favor, and interpret information that already aligns with what we believe, often leading us to overlook or dismiss contradictory evidence.  2️⃣ Survivorship bias: the tendency to focus on successful outcomes. For example, those users that survived and made it through the onboarding flow, while neglecting those that never even triggered an event log.  These aren't just mental errors, but deeply ingrained tendencies that distort how we search and interpret product data in subtle ways. Both biases contribute to a skewed understanding of our product problems.
