Last week, we had the pleasure of tagging with Complex Community Federal Credit Union  for a week of Impact Hunger events! They held their training day at their training center in Odessa, where volunteers made tie blankets and packed meals. They also had the opportunity to be in a photoshoot with words associated with CCFCU written on their arms! We then went to Andrews and Big Spring High School. To see how many students and other volunteers showed up to be difference-makers was awesome!

On September 25th, 2024, One Accord for Kids and The Attic Foster Network officially announced their merger, uniting under the One Accord for Kids name. 🎉 This exciting step creates a one-stop resource for fostering, adoption, and advocacy across West Texas. The Attic Foster Network will now be called The Attic Resource Center and will continue providing all the same great resources—now with the added support of One Accord for Kids. Together, they're ready to serve even more families and children throughout the Permian Basin. 💙

We had a great time tagging along with UP&S while they delivered meals to the Odessa community! If you or someone you know wants to get more involved with the community, Meals on Wheels of Odessa is a great place to start. MOW provides essential services to homebound seniors and individuals with disabilities, ensuring they receive daily nutritious meals. The organization focuses on improving the quality of life and promoting independence by helping individuals remain in their homes while ensuring their nutritional needs are met. Additionally, MOW offers specialized meals based on dietary requirements, catering to specific health conditions like diabetes or heart disease.

At UP&S, we're proud to be united in community! Today, our amazing team members gave back by delivering meals for Meals on Wheels.
