A cherished tradition at our Riverside, CA, store is celebrating the birthday of the U.S. Marine Corps (USMC). A highlight of the event is the cake-slicing ceremony, where the oldest and youngest Marines present cut and share the first pieces. At the Riverside store, the oldest Marine, Account Manager Paul S., cut the cake and served the first slice to the youngest Marine, Service Technician Fernando M. These traditions honor the Marine Corps' legacy and continuity, symbolizing the passing of experience and tradition from one generation of Marines to the next. "Whether we're volunteering or getting involved in the community, our team members are very proud to have the opportunity to work alongside so many local veterans," said Regional Sales Manager Kelly Maes, a USMC veteran.

Imagine a kid playing with a toy combine on different floors – some smooth, some rough. The kid adjusts the speed based on the carpet texture. In the real world, out in the fields, we call this predictive ground speed automation. Using cameras and satellite images, the farmer's combine receives a field map that measures crop volume. It then adjusts its speed automatically. Denser crops may need slower speeds, while less dense crops allow for faster speeds. In the end, farmers don't have to worry about slowing down or getting stuck.

In the season of giving, we're proud of the many ways our team members give back. 🎁 Our team in San Antonio, Texas, recently hosted a toy drive to benefit a local non-profit, 1HOPE for Kids, a foster care and adoption agency that provides resources and support to foster children and families. This year, which is the store's third year donating to 1HOPE for Kids, the team sponsored 20 children and fulfilled each of their wish lists. "It was a group effort from all our departments, and we are so proud of our team and the donations they made to help bring a little Christmas magic to children and families in need," said Ariel H., Office Administrator.

With the year coming to an end, many of us are sitting down and planning what 2025 may look like. There's one thing you should add to your list: bringing your equipment in for an annual service inspection. While every equipment professional agrees that a regular preventative maintenance program is one of the best ways to keep a fleet healthy and extend equipment life, a thorough annual equipment inspection is just as valuable. Erik Sahr, one of RDO's general managers, explains five reasons why you should schedule an equipment inspection this winter to ensure your equipment is primed and ready to go to work next year.

Harvest season can be unpredictable, but your combine's performance doesn't have to be. Harvest has wrapped up in many parts of the country, leading growers to look at how things went this year and think about changes for next year. If your combine didn't perform the way you had hoped, you may be ready for something new, but new technology isn't just for new equipment. This is where a precision upgrade comes in. Discover how a precision upgrade can set you up for a successful harvest next year.
