Blue Origin Skillbridge Review ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ Rating 4 / 5 Review by anonymous: “Blue Origin's recruiting is amongst the worst I have ever seen. The path from Skillbridge intern to employment with the company is not clear, and while there is good engagement with the Skillbridgers, there seems to be a disconnect between the program and the company executive level. I don't think they completely understand the purpose of the program, as reflected by relatively low hiring numbers from qualified interns. Prepare yourself for chronic hiring freezes, which go on for unknown and variable amounts of time without any published explanation. My goal, when seeking out a Skillbridge, was post-military employment, and Blue's hiring process made me wondering if I had a future there until the very end. That said, If you do manage to get hired, their pay, benefits, and work-life balance overall is perhaps the best you'll see anywhere else, ever. I was able to receive some incredibly valuable certifications and experiences, and I genuinely loved going to work every day. You'll get to work alongside some amazing people with a great passion for space, and be able to contribute to some historical endeavors. My management was incredibly helpful and understanding to my VA appointments and other military related things I had to take care of during my internship, and were willing to accommodate my schedule accordingly. They also gave me tons of exposure to learn different parts of my career field. Overall, I would highly recommend Blue to anyone looking to gain some invaluable skills and experience in an incredibly awesome industry (space!), but not necessarily seeking immediate post-military employment. Don't bank on getting hired here, because in the end your employment here might not be up to your manager. If you're super motivated and dedicated to your craft and willing to make a more risky move for the sake of a truly incredible post-military career, this might be the Skillbridge for you.” See the full review here : https://lnkd.in/dPHGsaEs 🚨 Make sure to follow us for more reviews! #skillbridge #dodskillbridge #skillbridgeprogram #militarytransition #transitioningmilitary #veterantransition

Seek Now Skillbridge Review ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ Rating 5 / 5 Review by anonymous: “The Seek Now SkillBridge program was an outstanding experience, especially as a maintainer accustomed to conducting daily inspections on highly sophisticated aircraft. Adapting to climbing roofs took some adjustment, but once I got comfortable, the work became second nature. The Seek Now team welcomed me with open arms, making me feel valued and respected from day one. One of the things that stood out about Seek Now is that the team is made up of a majority of military personnel who have retired or separated from service. This created an instant sense of camaraderie and understanding, making the transition into civilian work even smoother. During the weeklong training in Kentucky—a place I had never been before—the team provided everything I needed, including tools, comfortable accommodations, and even meals. The training location was near a National Guard base at the airport, which added a unique and familiar touch to the experience. Mark Adams, a fellow veteran and former jet troop, made the transition into civilian work seamless. His understanding of military life and how it translates to civilian opportunities was invaluable. Seek Now provided all the necessary tools for the job, requiring no upfront costs from me until I decided to officially join the team. One of the most exciting aspects of the program is the opportunity to operate your own business and control your work schedule. This level of independence is empowering and a unique advantage of working with Seek Now. Overall, it’s a fantastic program for transitioning service members, offering incredible support and a smooth path to civilian success.” See the full review here : https://lnkd.in/dtPV8rP3 🚨 Make sure to follow us for more reviews! #skillbridge #dodskillbridge #skillbridgeprogram #militarytransition #transitioningmilitary #veterantransition

SIEGE CyberOps Program at Augusta University Skillbridge Review ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ Rating 5 / 5 Review by anonymous: “Hello, It is a great experience and opportunity to get hands on in person cybersecurity experience where everyone is willing to help you learn and answer any questions. They have opportunities in engineering, GRC, and incident response that you can purse which role interest you the most. This is a good opportunity to learn as most of there team are interns from the university or other Skillbridge personnel. The leadership there is great and flexible and also some of the full time employees are veterans as well and offer advice and can answer questions for those transitioning out of the military. Highly recommend this Skillbridge in Augusta, GA for anyone looking for some cybersecurity experience.” See the full review here : https://lnkd.in/gdxtaxmk 🚨 Make sure to follow us for more reviews! #skillbridge #dodskillbridge #skillbridgeprogram #militarytransition #transitioningmilitary #veterantransition

Leaf Home Skillbridge Review ⭐️ Rating 1 / 5 Review by anonymous: “The military recruiter at leafhome was great and helped me get an installation manager skill bridge position in the city I wanted to be in. I showed up to the office on day 1 having received no guidance other than show up on the listed start date (turns out there was supposed to be a week on onboarding prior to that). I was assigned an office and computer and learned the product, systems and processes as best I could. The managers already employed were entirely too busy to stop and train an intern so it was either standing over their shoulder as they worked, or working in the warehouse counting inventory. The installation manager arrived about 6 am, left about 12 pm, and worked remote until 8 pm or so, and this was during the slow season. The regional manager visited the office 3 days in and told me there were no open positions so he’s not sure why they sent me there. I called my recruiter who did his best to help me. Long story short, I went through the interview process for several remote positions within the company after working with the recruiter to try to make something positive out of it. At the end, they said they would offer me a position if I moved my family (again) to the corporate office in Akron, Ohio. I learned halfway through from another veteran, that I was the third skillbridge intern to be sent to that location knowing there was no open positions. The best thing they did for me was allowing me to not show up and navigate the job market to find a job (it worked out eventually). This company works hard to make it seem they value veterans, and maybe they do, but ultimately they’re a business, and money is more important than the success of the transitioning veteran.” See the full review here : https://lnkd.in/df8u8gKE 🚨 Make sure to follow us for more reviews! #skillbridge #dodskillbridge #skillbridgeprogram #militarytransition #transitioningmilitary #veterantransition

@Department of Veterans Health Administration James A. Haley Veterans Hospital Skillbridge Review ⭐️ Rating 1 / 5 Review by anonymous: “The process was easy to apply for. Follow-up from the beginning of the process and start date was not great communication was spotty. The experience itself was really great I enjoyed working with the staff. If you are looking to be hired on after I would suggest asking up front for transparency. The person that did my onboarding made it seem like it would be possible to get a position so I moved states to complete the SkillBridge opportunity only to be told at the end I would still be going through the process as if I didn’t complete the SkillBridge essential apply through USAJOBS. I definitely wish I knew that upfront before moving my entire household to another state before securing a job I could have applied for another SkillBridge with a better succession rate. Please do your research on each SkillBridge before commenting!” See the full review here : https://lnkd.in/drPZ9VjR 🚨 Make sure to follow us for more reviews! #skillbridge #dodskillbridge #skillbridgeprogram #militarytransition #transitioningmilitary #veterantransition

County of San Mateo Skillbridge Review ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ Rating 5 / 5 Review by anonymous: “Flexible. Friendly. Professional and fun. New POC: Mrs. Ximena Burns <[email protected]> I wasn’t offered a job, because I was using this SB as a way to get skills to prep being a functioning civilian again. They had many open positions for me and my counterpart, we just wanted to go elsewhere. Wow. I can’t believe I waited over 5 -6 months to write my review. Please don’t take that as a ding. I had a lot to set up with GI Bill VA Disability life etc. This county org was a lot of fun actually, and really helped me start figuring out how to live in the bay again. It was worth it bc my command team helped me get BAH for the area. If you’re not getting the BAH for the area you might wanna’ consider elsewhere unless you have family and friends. I didn’t get a car the entire time I was here, because the Caltrain runs right up to the spot. My last month I actually got an ABnB in SF. The hybrid aspect was great! We worked in office two ten hour days and then two days at home for ten hours. They will treat you like an adult. I got to see ALOT of the county from the Department of Emergency Management to the youth detention center. I cannot emphasize enough how substantive the starting salaries are imho. Please, if you’re unsure about this place, reach out to the POC.” See the full review here : https://lnkd.in/dSFVK9w7 🚨 Make sure to follow us for more reviews! #skillbridge #dodskillbridge #skillbridgeprogram #militarytransition #transitioningmilitary #veterantransition

Komatsu North America Skillbridge Review ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ Rating 5 / 5 “It was crazy how I found this opportunity. I connected on LinkedIn with the skillbridge recruiter and he asked me if I was interested in a skillbridge opportunity at Komatsu. It was by far the most fortuitous opportunity to come my way in my life. The company is amazing with great benefits. I was treated amazingly from the first day I walked into the doors. The do so many little things for their employees that just make you want to start a career for them. They bring in people only if there are openings. Towards the end you still have to apply for that position but you are by far ahead of everyone else because they already know your work ethic and potential. If you are looking for a company to do your skillbridge and they have something you are interested in I would highly recommend it. “ See the full review here : https://lnkd.in/dx8FNe26 🚨 Make sure to follow us for more reviews! #skillbridge #dodskillbridge #skillbridgeprogram #militarytransition #transitioningmilitary #veterantransition

Guidehouse Skillbridge Review ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ Rating 5 / 5 Review by anonymous: “Guidehouse was an amazing company to SkillBridge with! I started working with the SB coordinator early and navigated the process easily and without any delay. The team did an amazing job of placing me in a location that could utilized my DOD and IC background and allow me to learn and navigate the company over 12 weeks to better understand consulting and the corporate world. I had over 20 1-on-1 meetings in 12 weeks and over 40 informal conversations with Guidehouse employees and every single one loved the company and the mission. I was welcomed at every event and function and never once felt like I was an outsider. Towards the end of week 9, I was given a very fair and competitive offer for the DC area, and I accepted that offer and begin with Guidehouse in January 2025. I would 100% recommend Guidehouse for SkillBridge, especially if you are keen to stay in the DC area and continue working in the defense segment.” See the full review here : https://lnkd.in/dY6W8Sx6 🚨 Make sure to follow us for more reviews! #skillbridge #dodskillbridge #skillbridgeprogram #militarytransition #transitioningmilitary #veterantransition
