  • The holiday season is right around the corner, which means increased pressure across the #SupplyChain. How can businesses in the #manufacturing, #warehousing and #logistics sectors ensure their lines keep up with soaring demand without overburdening their workforce? Robotic #automation is a key solution. Across industries, here’s how it helps companies effectively manage the holiday shopping surge: 🔄 Around-the-Clock Operation: Robots can work without breaks, keeping production lines moving smoothly and helping to avoid backlogs during peak hours. ⚙️ On-the-Fly Adaptability: AI-powered automation enables robots to adapt to changing SKUs on a line, giving businesses the flexibility to keep up with shifting demand throughout the season. 💪 Support for Workers: Robotic automation frees human employees from repetitive tasks, reducing physical strain and allowing them to take on safer, higher-value roles. As consumer demand continues to shift, investing in flexible automation proves to be a competitive advantage for long-term resilience and growth. How is your team handling the holiday surge? Let us know in the comments!

🎙️ NEW EPISODE ALERT: End-of-Line Automation with AI On our latest episode, our host Bill Brock, CEO of Peridio sat down with Kimberley Losey, CEO of Rapid Robotics, Inc, to talk about how they’re using generative AI to solve one of manufacturing's biggest headaches - end-of-line packaging. Discover how Rapid Robotics is taking bold steps—like halting sales to focus on AI innovation—and tackling some of the most complex packaging challenges across industries. This episode dives into the unexpected ways intelligent automation is reshaping American manufacturing. 🎧 Tune in here: https://lnkd.in/esi7QWcE #Manufacturing #Automation #AI #Innovation

  • Even if every unemployed person in the United States found a job today, there would still be millions of open jobs.   According to the US Chambers:  1) Job openings currently outnumber unemployed workers by 1.2 million.  2) 1.7 million Americans are missing from the workforce compared to February of 2020.  3) The labor force participation rate is 62.7%, down from 63.3% in February 2020 and 67.2% in January 2001. A range of factors have fueled and will continue to fuel this #LaborShortage – the pandemic, an aging workforce, decreasing migration, lack of childcare – the list goes on. And no business of any size in any industry is immune.    Rapid Robotics was founded to help mitigate labor challenges plaguing #manufacturing operations and #logistics. Now more than ever, businesses must invest in robotic #automation if they want to ensure dependable, robust and productive lines.     The question for floor workers is no longer “will robots take my job?” It is “will I be able to complete my job without robots?”

  • Kitting operations often face disruptions due to frequent changeovers and varied item patterns. This can lead to inefficiencies and slowdowns on the production line.     Imagine a kitting solution that can handle multiple items simultaneously and adapt instantly to new patterns. Vision-based accuracy and scalable technology can eliminate these delays and enhance overall efficiency.     This is what we’ve achieved with Rapid iD Kit. Our dynamic kitting system features a unique inverted design that services both sides of the conveyor, virtually eliminating changeover delays. It’s capable of running different patterns at the same time and onboarding new items in minutes.     How does your system manage kitting efficiency, and where do you see the need for improvement?     #Kitting #AI #Robotics #Automation
