"Today’s #AI applications pose critical performance and efficiency challenges for the underlying compute infrastructure. We are seeing widespread use of GPUs and AI accelerators that need to evolve quickly to meet the demanding performance requirements of these applications. This is one of the key reasons why we are seeing HBM4-based system development proceed at a more rapid pace compared to previous generations of the standard." Watch Nidish Kamath break down the details for #HBM4 and beyond from our #RambusAskTheExperts series below. #HBM #HighBandwidthMemory #GenerativeAI

"Historically, data security was primarily focused on safeguarding data residing within systems controlled by the users themselves, such as on-premise storage and server infrastructure. In such a siloed environment, information stored on the storage media, Data-at-Rest, was encrypted to ensure #security. Data-in-Motion (aka Data-in-Transit) was safeguarded by encrypting it before transmitting it over the network. As organizations are increasingly migrating their workloads to hybrid environments or to third-party cloud service providers, their workloads increasingly run on infrastructure that they do not own or fully trust." “To keep up with GenAI and its growing demands on memory, chip and system architectures are evolving to provide more performance and better power efficiency. This will enable even faster and more capable processor cores that can perform more complex calculations than their predecessors. Higher memory capacities will also be needed to complement faster data transfer rates. Bit cells will be shrunk to accommodate more bits on a chip, and true 3D DRAMs will come to market to further increase storage capacities. The #semiconductor industry is responding to new and emerging challenges with increased R&D and new innovations that will fuel the continued growth of AI and support new and more advanced use cases.” Check out the recent post, "Breaking Through the Memory AI Wall" from our Fellow and Distinguished Inventor, Steven Woo. #GenAI #GenerativeAI #Memory

#QuantumComputing is being pursued across industry, government and academia with tremendous energy and is set to become a reality in the not-so-distant future. Once sufficiently large quantum computers exist, traditional asymmetric cryptographic methods for key exchange and digital signatures will be broken. Many initiatives have been launched throughout the world to develop and deploy new quantum-resistant cryptographic algorithms, known as Post-Quantum Cryptography (#PQC). Are you prepared for Quantum Computing? Download this white paper to learn about the threat of quantum computers and the algorithms that will protect your data and devices against quantum attacks. https://lnkd.in/gmJTSHqk #PostQuantumCryptography #Cryptography #QuantumComputers #Security
