Quick trip to London today to present for the Construction News Inspiring women in construction and engineering awards in the Women’s network of the year category! It was a pleasure to present to the judges and talk about all of the recent events and activity we have rolled out and about all of the amazing people within the network and the benefits the group is ensuring for people working in the roofing industry. There are some other fantastic women’s groups shortlisted and we are absolutely delighted to have been one of those chosen as a finalist! Looking forward to attending the awards in October to find out who the winner is

Raise the Roof UK enjoyed their visit to Roberts Group and attendees reported that this was an excellent event combining technical and soft skills. A interactive mentoring session led by Samantha Jones and Ruth Scarrott was enjoyed and appreciated by attendees and evaluation shows that their knowledge and confidence in a mentoring situation rose by 25% on average.

We all enjoyed a busy afternoon at our meeeting held at Roberts Group premises , having a very informative tour conducted by Nick Roberts . A fabulous product demonstration by Stewart Orton (MioR) , followed by a mentoring workshop with Ruth Scarrott & Samantha Jones , which was very helpful & thought provoking!
