If you look around, you might think that most quantum startups grow because they span out of a famous university or a wellknown research group. Qunnect never had those privileges, spinning out of a state university and from a relatively unknown, young group. In fact, I was the first PhD graduate of that group. But none of that really decided our faith because we had that one privilege which mattered the most, the best quantum team in the world. People who stood together, through the hardest times, and against all odds pulled off some of the hardest milestones. This year alone we: 🚀 Won the PRISM award for our automated polarization compensation devices. 🚀 Published two peer-reviewed papers. 🚀 Demonstrated the most practical quantum entanglement network in the world. 🚀 Expanded GothamQ to a real data center in Manhattan. 🚀 Added two new products to our suit. 🚀 Generated more than $2M in sales revenue. 🚀 Deployed the world's first full solution Quantum rack for entanglement networks 🚀 Finalized CRADA and partnership with 3 Fortune500 companies and 2 major US agencies. And the list goes on and on. Qunnect is bringing quantum networking out of academia and delivering it directly to the end users globally. None of these things would have been possible without our team 💜

We've made it to the SPIE PRISM award finale for the 3rd year in a row, this time as the reigning champion 😎 Our Gotham Rack is a full entanglement solution, providing the entire hardware and software needed to create high rate, high fidelity, polarization entanglement networks, compatible with most atomic sensors and computers. See you at the PRISM Gala 🥳

Quantum in real life is messy! This is the exact map of our new fiber connection between Qunnect and QTD at the 60 Hudson st. The actual travel distance is barely 3km but the fiber length (light blue) is almost 16km. Even at 16km, the loss, and the noise on the fiber is nothing short of a long distance fiber, due to all the unavoidable fiber splices and patch panels in between. And we have to deal with all sort of noise. Even the evanescence Raman noise from neighboring fibers being used by people watching (likely) Netflix in Manhattan. We are gearing up towards some very cool quantum networking demos between Manhattan and Brooklyn. Demos that at a proof of principle level, physicists have shown in their labs before. But to bring those to actual streets on New York City, our entire team of physicists, engineers, and software developers have been working for years, accounting for every real life scenario. And as always, I keep my best data and news for the annual New York Quantum Summit hosted by New York University next week!

  • GothamQ has entered the internet heart of Manhattan, and the world! After our successful demonstration of a 24/7 automated entanglement network in New York City, we are now proud to announce the establishment of our latest node, located at one of the world's most important internet hubs! Thanks to our partnership with the amazing team at the QTD Systems, GothamQ is now fully connected to the 60 Hudson St., one of the world’s most connected buildings! There are so many exciting, multi-node, entanglement-based experiments we are planning to do, together with our collaborators at NYU and other partners, through this node. But more importantly, partnering with QTD Systems significantly facilitates the long-term expansion of GothamQ.  From this day forward, expanding our quantum network to any partner in the region, no matter from which sector, would be a matter of hours. And a huge thank you to Peter Feldman and the whole team at QTD for making this partnership possible in the fastest timeframe possible!

We are making New York quantum, one entangled photon at a time! To learn more, read in depth, amazing article by Isaac Schultz on Gizmodo about the work Qunnect has been doing in NYC. FYI, we're already gearing up for the next quantum networking demo under the streets of New York, this time in Manhattan 😎🗽

As the lead scientist in a quantum startup, it's always amazing when our work is highly recognized in peer reviewed journals like our recent work at PRX Quantum. But it's a whole different level of validation when I see the demand and the desire for so many world class scientists, universities, and companies to have access to the technologies we have been inventing these past 4 years. Today, It made me so happy when I was walking by our manufacturing space and saw 5 entanglement sources ready to move to the next stage of assembly into our 2U rack devices for final testing and shipping to customers in different sectors around the world. There is no feeling in science more fulfilling than know that you're making an impact. Knowing that you're helping your community and your field grow faster and faster. This the strongest driving force behind our team at Qunnect 💜

  • Our GothamQ paper is out on PRX Quantum (link below) but this work would have not been possible without the 2024 PRISM award winner, Qu-APC! Qu-APC's job is to actively compensate for polarization drifts in telecom fibers in real time, allowing us to use polarization qubits and entangled states. By doing so we can significantly benefit from the ease of creation, manipulation, and measurement of these states while making sure we are always maintaining a very high end-to-end fidelity across our networks. Interested to learn more about Qu-APC? reach out to us at anytime! https://lnkd.in/e_Q5RYCQ

A beautiful piece on APS Physics Magazine about our latest PRXQ paper, written by Charles Day ⬇️ I'm not going to lie, I'm still as obsessed with quantum entanglement as I was back in high school where I heard of it for the first time. Every year we are trying to understand, just a bit more, the role entanglement plays in forming the universe around us. To the extend that some theories even put it more fundamental than space-time itself. It just feels so natural, and to a sense ultimate, to move towards the era of entanglement communication. And I'm just so happy and privileged to live a life where I can play mu role in this field, together with every amazing team member at Qunnect and all the fascinatingly brilliant scientists around the world. I hope you all enjoy this paper as much as we enjoyed making it a reality in our beautiful city 💜
