The transition team of President-elect Donald Trump has signed a memorandum of understanding with the White House.   The signing of this agreement is good news, and a positive step toward an effective transfer of power.   This agreement unlocks direct access to information from federal agencies, which is vital for the incoming administration to be ready to govern on Day One and critical to the transition’s success. https://lnkd.in/eUS75Tnr

Career civil servants are the people who work every day to make our daily lives possible. They are air traffic controllers who make sure planes don't crash into each other, food safety inspectors who make sure the food in supermarkets meet safety standards and even IRS auditors who make sure they are auditing on the basis of merit.      We do not need more political appointees.
