🎓Announcing the Americas MDP Class of 2024! 🎓 Last week, 23 PSA BDP team members from all across the Americas gathered in Philadelphia for the final week of the Manager Development Program (MDP). Since the program officially kicked off in May, the participants have developed new skills while gaining tools to strengthen current skills, taken on new challenges, stepped out of their comfort zones, and cultivated new connections and relationships with other MDP colleagues and leadership. During the time in Philadelphia, team members presented their final MDP projects to leadership, their mentors, and past program participants. Each presentation was a unique representation of each participant's growth throughout the program itself. In addition to the presentations, there was also time for a bit of PLAY with an "Ugly Holiday Sweater" networking event and, of course, time to give back to the local community. MDPs visited a local store to shop for items for a toy/toiletries drive to support an elementary school near the office. In total, 239 toys/toiletry items were collected in support of this PSA BDP Cares initiative. 🫶 Throughout the program, they showcased their capability, confidence, and connection and are ready to take on (and solve) new challenges. Thank you to the leaders, mentors, and team members who have supported them on this transformational journey. Investing in the next generation of leaders is essential for driving innovation, fostering resilience, and ensuring the long-term success and sustainability of PSA BDP. Here's to the newest group of MDP graduates! Congratulations on this outstanding achievement. 👏

Making an Impact in Türkiye 🪴 The "Sakız Ağacım Çeşme" Project, initiated by the SS Çeşmeköy Agricultural Development Cooperative with support from the Municipality of Çeşme, is dedicated to planting Mastic trees (Pistacia lentiscus) across green spaces and afforestation areas across the city. PSA BDP Türkiye proudly contributed to this impactful initiative by donating 500 Mastic tree saplings, supporting both sustainable environmental practices and women’s employment projects. During the event, PSA BDP employees learned about the rich history and cultivation process of Mastic trees and actively participated in a symbolic tree-planting ceremony for the donated saplings. Beyond environmental impact, this project also supports women’s employment by involving them in the cultivation, harvesting, and processing of mastic, fostering economic growth and further strengthening the community. 💚 Margaret (Peggy) Murphy, Ph.D., PSA BDP’s VP of Global Sustainability, shared, “The preservation and expansion of these trees are vital for both the local economy and the environment. It was inspiring to witness the dedication and care driving this meaningful effort.” Together, we’re growing a greener, more inclusive future. 🌍
