  • As 2024 wraps up and we all start to plan for the new year, it's worth remembering this: "Regardless of where your firm is at in terms of their level of investment [in you], you are always your best investment." #BDDifferent thought leader Amy Franko shared this advice when we asked her what accountants can do if they want to become better business developers. Remember to invest in your career development in 2025! Raise your hand and pursue development opportunities. Don't wait for them to come to you. #accounting #lawfirm #legal #BD

Mission: Empower companies to drive revenue and streamline processes by using their own data

I just published my first LinkedIn article 🔥, exploring a topic I’ve spent the last decade thinking about: Tech Adoption in Professional Services. For reasons I can’t fully explain, I’ve always found this challenge fascinating and developed a deep passion for understanding it. Over the years, I’ve learned the hard way that traditional metrics for tech "adoption" — like tracking logins or time spent on a platform — are misleading and, frankly, a waste of time. What truly matters is whether the technology aligns with the unique workflows of professional services firms. When technology simplifies tasks, works with how professionals work, and delivers value seamlessly, adoption happens naturally. I know not everyone in my network may agree with this perspective, and that’s okay. I wanted to share my thoughts because I believe we, as technology providers supporting the professional services industry, can and should do better. The professional services industry is growing and needs our help — but to provide real value, we need to listen better to them, not the other way around. Read my full take here

“The reality is that to do effective business development, you have to have a keen eye on thought leadership and personal branding . . . business development rainmakers and thought leaders have a little something extra in their abilities that makes them push out and do more.” As much as we might wish that “little something extra” is just their use of data and technology, we know data and tech have little value without people and process. Experts like Paula Zirinsky can help upskill a firm’s people and process to nurture more rainmakers, while Propense is focused on providing the tech to help those people execute their BD processes more effectively. The right people + process + tech + data = client service & BD success 🏆 #BDDifferent #BD #lawfirm #accountingfirm #clientservice
