Wellbeing is a right, not a privilege. At Proof Positive, this belief drives our work every day. Yet, too often, the autism and disability communities are left behind in the pursuit of happiness and human rights. We can, and we must, do better. Today, on Human Rights Day, we join the global community in commemorating the Universal Declaration of Human Rights. The United Nations’ theme for 2024, Our Rights, Our Future, Right Now, is a powerful call to action. We answer this call with Mindful Urgency—one of our core values. We work purposefully and intentionally to improve wellbeing outcomes… now. The Wellbeing Revolution begins today, and we’re ensuring no one is left behind. To that end, we are excited to share our 2025 Strategic Roadmap, which outlines a clear path toward enhancing wellbeing in the autism community with Mindful Urgency. We are determined to make wellbeing a right for every individual. Research in positive psychology suggests that while some aspects of happiness are influenced by genetics and circumstances, a significant portion is within our control – and, therefore, can be learned and practiced, just like learning to ride a bike or learning to read. And, everyone, including the autism community, can learn the skills of happiness with the right supports.
