On the playground, friendship means *everything*—and those who appear "alone" aren't lacking. They're rare. 💎 Watch PZ researcher Jessica Dreyer's TEDxLinz talk (a rallying cry for anyone who’s ever felt like an outsider) and discover how we can cultivate a culture of connection and empathy for all children. Dreyer is a teacher-researcher at the International School of Billund where she integrates the Pedagogy of Play research project, a collaboration with The LEGO Foundation. She's also the creator of https://playground.cards/, a card trading game that fosters new friendships. 🃏

PZ's Daniel Wilson wants us to rethink homework: "It's hard to learn without real-life relevance." That's why he's collaborating with Spain’s Universidad Camilo José Cela on a program that seeks to encourage curiosity 💭 , a sense of belonging, and fun through their students’ interactions with their surroundings 🌲, whether those take place at day centers for the elderly, mechanical workshops or greenhouses—and integrate these experiences into school curriculum. 🔗 https://lnkd.in/e_cEYv7G

It's our first GivingTuesday! 🧡 Will you support PZ scholarships? https://lnkd.in/ebNXEgdX Each year, Project Zero is able to help hundreds of educators around the world access our conferences and courses, thanks to a dedicated scholarship fund that defrays tuition for those working in under-resourced contexts. Help us renew and sustain this vital resource—and help educators use PZ ideas 💡 to support deeper learning and thinking for their students.

➡️ It's time to approach young people's interactions with technology with curiosity 🙋♂️ rather than judgment, including how technology can help young people reduce the (many) pressures they're feeling. PZ's Center for Digital Thriving unpacks the grind culture in American teens. Explore the key findings. 💡
Let’s face it: Teens today are navigating a 🌎 full of pressures. From personal relationships to future plans, teens must juggle expectations from friends, family, teachers, and even social media. We are so thrilled to release a new report in collaboration with Indiana University Lilly Family School of Philanthropy and Common Sense Media: Unpacking Grind Culture in American Teens: Pressure, Burnout, and the Role of Social Media. ✨ Of the young people we surveyed, 81% told us they feel negative pressure, and more than 1️⃣ in 4️⃣ are feeling burned out. Social media plays a role here — helping reduce some pressures and amplify others — but it is only part of a broader story that includes pressure from adults, peers and even internal pressures. Young peoples’ voices are key in this conversation, so let’s listen to and learn from them!
