Greetings Project Nana Family, Congress is currently working to finalize the federal budget for the upcoming fiscal year. This budget will determine the funding levels for crucial programs that support gynecologic cancer research and patient care. Why is this important? Progress in Research: Consistent funding is essential for scientists to continue groundbreaking research that could lead to new treatments and cures for gynecologic cancers. Patient Care: Adequate funding ensures that patients have access to the latest treatments and support services they need. What can you do? Please take a moment to contact your elected officials via this link https://lnkd.in/eHnhpP6q and urge them to: Prioritize the budget: Pass the FY2025 budget before the end of the year. Fund gynecologic cancer research and care: Provide robust funding for programs that support these critical areas. Your voice matters! By taking a few minutes to send a message, you can help ensure that women with gynecologic cancers have the best possible chance at a healthy future. Thank you for your support!

Educate, advocate, engage and transform the health & quality of life of seasoned women.
About us
Project Nana, Inc. is a tax-exempt, nonprofit public health organization that promotes awareness of the need for women's health screenings and exams in seasoned women. Our goal is to reduce the incidence rate of late-stage diagnoses of gynecologic cancers and sexually transmitted infections (STIs) among post-menopausal women and to improve their overall quality of life. Through community outreach and stakeholder engagement, we establish networks of support, amplify voices and stories, and provide an environment for evidence-based education and interventions. Why? Post-menopausal women are at an increased risk for certain gynecologic cancers; age is typically a risk factor itself. However, due to the lack of specificity for this population in women’s health, many symptoms and cases of gynecologic cancers go undetected until advanced, late stages. These late stage diagnoses limit treatment options, have high fatality rates, and are costly to the patients, their families, and ultimately, health systems, insurance companies, and the community. However, early prevention and treatment typically reduces the risk of mortality and is more cost effective. Project Nana, Inc. is honored to partner with women's health providers, educators and advocates to deliver programs highlighting the need for information, engagement and access to annual, quality care by women's health providers and to dispel perceptions that women have diminished value and utility post menopause.
