This year's Turbine Forum 2024 included a Progressive Surface presentation describing our automated process for more accurately aligning a torch nozzle's robotic tool center. Using data collected from two Accuraspray 4.0 plume sensors, the robot TCP can be adjusted in seconds immediately before deposition to place coating material accurately at pre-programmed positions. We’re expanding our partnership with Purdue’s School of Materials Engineering by providing a pilot-scale robotic shot peening equipment to the university’s Materials & Manufacturing Research Laboratory. The equipment should be operational by mid-2025 and will be featured during the tri-annual International Conference on Shot Peening hosted by Purdue in September 2025. 👏
