Want to crush your goals? Here's the blueprint that changed everything for me: A little over 10 years ago, I decided I was going to run my first half-marathon. Problem was, I wasn't a long-distance runner—at all. I hated it, honestly. But I sat down and got specific: 1️⃣ What: I wanted to run 13.1 miles in under 2 hours. I downloaded a training plan, picked a race date, and mapped out every step. 2️⃣ Why: I needed something to prove to myself I could commit to hard things. That "why" kept me going on those 6 a.m. runs. 3️⃣ Who: I told a few friends who were already runners and asked them to check in on me weekly. We even became a Wolf pack running together at least a few time per week. And the texts like "Did you do your long run?" kept me honest when I wanted to bail. Fast forward to race day—I hit my goal and crossed that finish line. The feeling was incredible, not just because I did it, but because I had a plan and stuck to it. 💡 Whether it's building a business or smashing fitness goals, clarity and accountability make the difference. What's your next big goal? Drop it below—I'd love to cheer you on! 🚀 #TheB3Way #Success #GoalSetting

What are you working on right now that makes you feel you are not just surviving but actually thriving? I was working with a group last week, and they all shared with me a new perspective that they've come to, especially now that it seems we are on the other side of you-know-what. I'm curious to know if you feel the same way? Something in the air is almost like 'gold dust' inspiring people to consider changing everything. Maybe it's hope! Don't you agree? https://lnkd.in/ee6cdENg #business #motivation #theb3way

What's truly stopping you from: -losing weight -eating healthier -exercising consistently -being happy Today it's time to focus on creating inertia. This one is simple, but not always easy. It requires you to work outside your comfort zone, push past the fear, and learn how to live your life differently. What can you do today (not what you should do) that will get you a few steps closer to where you want to be? Ask yourself, is this doable? Is it connected to your "why"? Can you give a 100% commitment for 1 week? Will you stop listening to the lies that you tell yourself? Can you believe in yourself, just for 1 week? Hope, even if it's tiny, is a powerful motivator. It's your SUPERPOWER! Plant the seed with the intention of growing a mighty oak! What are you committing to today? #theb3way #motivation #leadership #mindset

🎯 Want Goals That Actually Stick? Let's Get SMARTER 🎯 I used to struggle with goal setting until I learned about SMARTER Goals. Let's be real—setting a goal is easy; achieving it is the hard part. What if the secret is in the very way we set goals? Introducing S.M.A.R.T.E.R. Goals—where every letter is a stepping-stone to success. 👉 What's holding YOU back? Let's take a deeper dive into "...RT..." Is it relevant? It it time-bound? Relevant This step in the process is about ensuring that your goal matters to you and that it also aligns with other relevant goals. Does this seem worthwhile? Is this the right time? Does this match other efforts/needs? Am I the right person to reach this goal? Time-bound Every goal needs a target date so that you have a deadline to focus on and something to work toward. This helps to prevent everyday tasks from taking priority over your longer-term goals. Accountability matters. When? What can I do six months from now? What can I do six weeks from now? Asking questions and getting granular during each step of the S.M.A.R.T.E.R. goal gets you much closer to accomplishing your goals with laser focus! What do you struggle with most when working on your goals? #business #motivation #theb3way

Are you taking time for yourself to renew and refreshen your soul? Inspiration matters, it transforms the way we perceive our own capabilities. If you don't take time out every day to appreciate the little things in life, you'll never see all there is to see. I love to spend time in nature whether gardening or walking and remind myself to observe the beauty there is all around me. What will you do to open your eyes today and really see the world for all its incredible beauty? #theb3way #motivation #leadership #mindset

Self-Care Isn't Just a Quick Blow-Dry. I came across a video of a puppy being blow-dried after a bath recently- and it's adorable isn't it?. This fluffy little thing, completely content, basking in the warmth. At first, I thought, "Ah, that's self-care: a little pampering, a moment of joy." But the more I thought about it, the more I realized how incomplete that view is. Self-care goes deeper. It's not just the surface-level stuff, like spa days, fancy coffees, or yes, even a cozy blow-dry moment. Those things are great, but real self-care requires more discipline, which is harder—and far more necessary. It's: Saying "no" to something draining, even when it's uncomfortable. (because saying no to it, is saying yes to you) Addressing the nagging voice in your head that says you're only worth what you produce. (because your inner coach knows better) Stepping away from work when your body is screaming for rest, even if there's more to do. (becaus the Inner Critic shouldn't be the CEO of your life or your health) Setting boundaries with love, even if people don't understand them. (because you need to love yourself first before you can love anyone fully) Self-care is messy and nuanced. It's making peace with imperfection, forgiving yourself when you fall short, and investing in your well-being the same way you would for someone you deeply care about. It's treating your mental, emotional, and physical health as the foundation for everything else in your life—not the last thing on the list. Here's the hard truth: If you skip real self-care, you'll feel it. It'll show up as burnout, resentment, or even illness. Just like the heart has to pump blood to itself first to keep the rest of the body alive, you can't show up for your family, your work, or your goals if you're constantly running on empty. So yes, take the quick moments of joy—the metaphorical blow-drys—but don't stop there. Self-care is deeper, It's ongoing, and it's worth it. What's one thing you've done recently to take care of yourself? Learn to have more of these conversations with yourself—because the more you invest in yourself, the better wyou show up for everyone else. #SelfCareMatters #EmotionalWellness #LeadershipStartsWithYou #theb3way

This Thanksgiving, can you turn your attitude into gratitude? A past Thanksgiving many years ago, I found myself in an unusual spot—not at a big family table, but in a restaurant having dinner with my family, reflecting. A year of growth and challenges had just passed, and I was overwhelmed. My business was growing, my clients were thriving, but my inner critic wouldn't quiet down. The Faceless Judge whispered, "You're not doing enough." Then I remembered the power of gratitude. I tried something different. I grabbed a notebook, sat by the window, and wrote three things I was genuinely grateful for—my health, the trust my clients placed in me, and the little moments, like the long walks in the woods that kept me grounded. What happened next was unexpected but so appreciated. A wave of calm washed over me. That small act shifted my perspective. I stopped focusing on what I lacked and started seeing the abundance around me. It wasn't a perfect day, but it was meaningful—and it sparked a habit I practice to this day. Gratitude isn't new; it's ancient wisdom woven into every culture and belief system. It's the reminder that even in the toughest moments, there's always something worth celebrating. Gratitude makes everything you have enough. So, this Thanksgiving, I challenge you: What little victories will you pause to honor? How will you flip your attitude into gratitude? Let's create a ripple effect of positivity, together. Make it a memorable day! ❤️ this post? 👍 Ring the 🔔 to follow, share it with your network, and drop a comment 💬 below. Are your goals ENJOYABLE? Taking a deeper dive into SMARTER Goal setting is easy when you focus on ...ER... Goals do not have to feel rigid or create a feeling of undue pressure! If you do not feel that the journey or the result will be enjoyable, you are over 50% less likely to achieve your goal! Why should it be enjoyable? The Brain says so! Dopamine spikes in your brain when something important is about to happen and gives you a surge of pleasure as you accomplish the task. This in turn increases motivation and productivity. Rewarding - last letter in S.M.A.R.T.E.R. By rewarding yourself in the moment, your brain elicits positive emotions, leading to the realization that your efforts result in a positive reward. By doing this continuously, your brain will start to link pleasure to accomplishing the task or objective and move towards it in the future. Here's some simple ideas for a reward - Take yourself out for a treat (non-food related, please!) Turn off any and all screens for an hour and enjoy the peace Celebrate and share your accomplishment with friends Enjoy a bubble bath or long shower Get a manicure or pedicure Find a garden to stroll through and smell the flowers Remember, when you add the "ER" to SMART goals, it will make them more attached to what's truly important to you. #theb3way #motivation #leadership #mindset

What is the difference between being grateful and being happy? We often use happiness and gratitude interchangeably, but they are profoundly different. I learned this firsthand during one of the most challenging times in my life. Several years ago, everything seemed to fall apart at once. I had just lost a job I loved, my relationships felt strained, and the future seemed like a blank, intimidating void. Naturally, I wasn't happy—I was devastated. But then, something unexpected happened. I started a small gratitude practice, almost as a desperate attempt to pull myself out of the darkness. Every night, I wrote down three things I was grateful for. At first, it felt forced—"I'm grateful for coffee," "I'm grateful for my dog." But over time, it changed something in me. Gratitude didn't make the challenges disappear, but it shifted how I saw them. It helped me realize that even amidst uncertainty, there was so much good in my life. A friend who called to check in. The beauty of a sunset. The way my struggles were teaching me resilience. Gratitude wasn't tied to my circumstances; it became a lens through which I saw the world. And it made everything I had enough. Happiness, on the other hand, comes and goes. It's the thrill of a promotion, the joy of a great meal, the warmth of a hug—but it's fleeting, a response to external events. Gratitude is different. It's enduring. It's not dependent on what's happening around us but on how we choose to see what is. Gratitude is the fuel of JOY! That practice of writing down three things every night? It didn't just bring fleeting moments of happiness—it rewired my outlook on life and filled me with joy. Now, even when things go wrong, gratitude gives me strength. It's the foundation I stand on when happiness feels far away. So, I'll leave you with this: How do you view gratefulness? Is it an occasional thank-you, or is it the steady undercurrent of your life? Try it for yourself. Write down one thing you're grateful for today—no matter how small. It might just change your life, like it changed mine. ❤️ this post? 👍 Ring the 🔔 to follow, share it with your network, and drop a comment 💬 below.
