Intersectional feminist platform & global movement for inclusive participation of young women in politics.

About us

Politics4Her is an intersectional feminist platform & global youth-led movement advocating for the inclusive participation of young women and girls in politics, civil society, and decision-making processes. Politics4Her is a movement driven by the belief that young women and girls hold the power to create a more equitable and just world. Our platform is a place where every girl and woman can be heard, valued and recognized as an agent of change. We are driven by the conviction that intersectional feminism is not just a theory, but a powerful tool for dismantling systems of oppression and creating a world where every individual can flourish. We recognize the challenges that young women and girls face when it comes to accessing political power and leadership roles, and we are committed to breaking down those barriers by providing them with the resources, skills, and networks and develop the skills, knowledge, and confidence they need to thrive as agents of change. What makes Politics4Her so special is its commitment to promoting equality, diversity, and inclusivity in all aspects of its work. At the heart of Politics4Her's mission is the belief that everyone deserves a seat at the table and a voice in shaping the policies and decisions that affect their lives. By promoting gender equality, intersectionality, and social justice, Politics4Her seeks to create a more equitable and inclusive world for all.

It’s been almost a year since I’ve joined Politics4Her and I will be forever grateful to this team for showing me how it’s possible to work in a feminist environment that prioritizes amplifying the voices of women and girls around the world. It’s hard not to get imposter syndrome so I’m always pleasantly surprised when I receive acknowledgements and love from the people I work with. I hope they know that I’m always inspired by them, their activism, their courage and their dedication. As always, thank you to Yasmina Benslimane for creating this platform, it’s been life changing! And a special shoutout to the comms team, you make life better.

There aren’t enough words to express how special it is to be part of Politics4Her. I am so grateful to work for this organisation, alongside the most fascinating young women from all over the world. In late September, I’ve taken up the role of co-lead of the project management team. These last months have been challenging but so fulfilling, as I am lucky to count with an incredible team, leading impactful projects, and, most importantly, working for an organisation with the right values and a strong and clear mission. I’m truly proud and honoured to receive this recognition from my fellow colleagues, and I look forward to continuing to smash the patriarchy, little by little, everyday. ❤️✨

Life has always felt like a series of crossroads to me, each decision shaping the story we’re meant to tell! Almost two and a half years ago, I joined Politics4Her as a volunteer. I didn’t know it then, but it was one of those turning points in my life. For the first time, I stayed with an NGO for so long, working with inspiring women and girls from all over the world. Their authenticity, dedication, and attitude left a mark on me. It felt like I had found a community where we all grew together just by being part of it. Looking back, that experience changed the way I see work. I realized I can’t do a 9-5 job that doesn’t make a real impact, it feels empty! Making a difference for one person is meaningful, sure, but now I want to create change on a larger, collective scale. At Politics4Her, we led with empathy. We inspire and learn from each other, creating this amazing exchange where everyone evolve naturally. It taught me what leadership really looks like, being supportive, kind, and empowering others, not micromanaging or creating toxic environments. Once you’ve seen what good leadership looks like, you can’t settle for less. I am lucky to have a wonderful leader, Yasmina Benslimane who isn’t just a manager but also a mentor. Having a mentor is something I encourage everyone to seek out. Mentors can become your friend, colleague, and confidant, helping you navigate both your career and personal life. Politics4Her shaped so much of who I am today. It’s not just an organization; it’s a movement that believes in advancing women’s participation in decision-making processes. It also deepened my conviction that the personal is political. The systems we live in shape our daily lives, but we have the power to reshape those systems too. I carry these lessons with me every day, and they guide how I approach my work and life. To anyone reading this, find what lights you up, seek out mentors who believe in you, and don’t settle for anything less than meaningful work. It makes all the difference! ❤️

Happy to receive the Fabulous Feminist Writer Award from Politics4Her, I am extremely grateful for this award. I joined Politics4Her in July and I have been privileged to work and connect with such dedicated women who advocate for intersectional feminism in its truest form. I have learnt so many new skills and I want to thank everyone especially Yasmina Benslimane for creating this amazing NGO as well as a community for women to be confident young activists who learn from each other. Through this platform, I have been given the opportunity to regain my confidence in writing about topics that matter to me. I’m excited to continue my work with Politics4Her in 2025 as we continue to smash the patriarchy!

📢 My latest article, "Missing Voices: How Climate Week Excludes Those Most Affected," is out now on Nonprofit Quarterly. Despite the bold solutions discussed at Climate Week NYC, voices from the Global Majority—Indigenous communities, forcibly displaced people, and young women—are still missing. These are the communities living the harshest impacts of climate change, yet systemic barriers like visa restrictions and funding gaps keep them out of the conversation. This exclusion turns global climate spaces into echo chambers for the privileged, leaving out critical perspectives that could lead to real solutions. Read more about why representation matters and why it’s time to shift the power dynamics in the climate justice movement. 🖊️ https://lnkd.in/gT562Uuw #ClimateJustice #RepresentationMatters #DecolonizeClimateAction
