How is 2024 already almost gone? Looking to the new year, here are my top 3 predictions for podcasting in 2025: 1. From RSS to Spotify Video to Youtube to X … listeners will consume ‘podcasts’ across a greater variety of platforms – increasingly in video form – requiring better tools for cross-platform publishing, reporting, & measurement. 2. Pixel-based measurement will continue to solidify itself as table stakes for buyers & sellers committed to ROI, with incrementality rising further as a simple yet convincing way to prove audio’s channel-wide impact. 3. Programmatic and other ways for advertisers to buy aggregated supply will continue to rise, due to their ease of use for both buyer and seller. These higher level buying platforms will enable more sophisticated messaging, such as frequency capping across publishers.

In podcast advertising, accurate measurement is everything… With more devices now using IPv6, many measurement providers are still only tracking impressions on IPv4.
