🎮 Esports is growing in the heart of the country! Last month, the 2nd annual Scottsbluff High School Esports Tournament took place to a massive success! With 400 fans in attendance, 10 teams competing, and student cheering sections bringing the energy, the atmosphere was nothing short of electric. Throughout the day intense matchups occurred across Rocket League, Super Smash Bros.™ Ultimate, Mario Kart ™ 8 Deluxe, and Fortnite. It was also a historic moment for esports in the region: ✅ Nine schools from rural Nebraska, Wyoming, and Colorado participated, with two local colleges joining to support and scout talent. ✅ For the first time, the event was streamed to Hudl, a platform traditionally reserved for sports like football and basketball. ✅ We debuted the PlayVS LIVE platform to seamlessly manage the brackets. Pulling off a 12-hour event like this takes a lot of work, but seeing the smiles, hearing the cheers, and feeling the community support made it all worth it. Events like these legitimize esports, especially in rural areas, and show that competitive gaming has a place in every corner of the country. To every student, coach, volunteer, and school who joined us: thank you for making this event unforgettable. Here’s to the continued growth of esports in our schools! 🕹️👏 Check out the stream recording here: https://lnkd.in/gru9g4aB #Esports #PlayVS #CommunityGaming
