A Major Mail Day: In the U.S., the Postal Service estimates that they deliver nearly 15 billion pieces of holiday mail and packages during the season, with Christmas cards accounting for a significant portion. 4. Santa’s Mailroom: Each year, Santa receives over 2 billion cards and letters. Many post offices around the world have “Santa Mail” programs to help kids send their letters, complete with replies! 5. Longest Christmas Card Chain: The longest Christmas card chain in the world was created in 2015, linking over 11,000 cards sent by people from different countries, spreading holiday cheer across borders.
