We wrapped up our trip to Nashville with visits to the Musicians Hall of Fame and Museum which honors musicians behind the hits we all know and love, as well as Ryman Auditorium the original home of the Grand Ole Opry. Of course, no trip to Nashville would be complete without some food and beverage. We enjoyed a “blend your own bottle” whisky experience at Pennington Distilling Co. along with Hattie B's Hot Chicken. On our second day in Nashville, we got down to business. Robert Bull from Clair Global and Kindal Jumper from Soundcheck Nashville joined us to talk about Rock Nashville, a new collaborative campus based on the successful Rock Lititz. We heard about the vision for the project, business aspects and the technological changes that shaped the plans for the facility. We also heard from Addie and Brad from the band Halocene who shared how aligned brand and band values define long lasting partnerships. Finally, we engaged in a discussion on hearing health with Wesley Bulla from Belmont University, including how brands educate the public on correct product use, how product designs have evolved to protect against hearing loss, and the stigma some still associate with hearing aid use. Our Nashville trip continued with tours of Blackbird Studio and 34 Music Square East. We were honored to have Blackbird founder and legendary sound engineer John McBride join us to talk about his love of music and demo their state-of-the-art Dolby ATMOS mixing studio (yes, it was incredible!) and unparalleled collection of vintage recording equipment. We also visited 34 Music Square East, a renovated Columbia Studio A, which serves as a classroom and hands-on learning lab for students in Belmont University’s Curb College of Entertainment and Music Business. Last week, we headed to Nashville for three days of exclusive tours, industry speakers, networking, and of course great food, beverages and live music. First up, we headed to Gibson Garage to explore all the stories behind the music inside their historic 8,000 sq foot space. We learned how a custom guitar is made as well as a VIP experience in The Vault to view some of Gibson’s most famous, rare and important instruments. It was an amazing start to our trip!
